His dad gave President Ronald Reagan nothing but backstabs and heartburn while Veep. Don’t want any more of ‘em.

No.

If I wanted someone like Jeb for President, I’d vote for the liberal who is honest enough to be a Democrat.

How about instead of honest we say "up front about it". Honest in the same sentence as Rat just seems perverted.

I’m not sure the Democrats wish to stoop that low. It will be difficult to teach their low information voters that Bush = good.

Surprisingly there are a lot of Floridians who would oppose Jeb. Basically he was a “Democrat Light” who has become more liberal since leaving office. Electing Jeb would be like offering a hand up to the next Democrat who ran for the presidency. If there is any hope for this nation to return to sanity, we need a president who is a true conservative. Jeb is not that person.

The local news in Houston had this non-story on this morning. I early-voted Saturday and left George P. Bush blank.

One thing that is consistently left out of these Jeb Bush stories is the toxicity of the Bush name. Setting aside the whole RINO/Open Borders/he looks like he's gonna explode issues, people seem to have forgoten the "Buck Fush" bumper stickers, the "BusHitler" signs, "Bush lied; people died", etc. Even if Jeb was other than a RINO POS, he doesn't have a prayer of being elected and it's foolish to even discuss it.

I actually clicked the link to read the article. The author has no clue as to why there were 5m less R votes for Mitt than there was for Romney, but I would’t expect the “east coast elitist R’s” to understand.

It’s infuriating that there are donors that must think this is a good idea.

...

Big donors expect a healthy return on their “investment,” and they know with Jeb, they’ll get it, while the rest of the country suffers.

I don't understand. Am I an east coast elitist R now and get to hang at the club?

” His dad gave President Ronald Reagan nothing but backstabs and heartburn while Veep.”

The 2 Bush POTUS have all but destroyed conservatism.

JEB! will follow the strategery of his brother W. and will sit back allowing other GOP candidates to be knocked off by the media and each other. He will come in late and win. The plan is already in place for JEB! to be the anti-Obama who will promise to fix all the damage done by The Won.

His "fix" will be a one-world currency and a New World Order a la Poppy Bush. This is the wet dream of the elites and a majority Americans will happily surrender our sovereignty for a mess of pottage. Lock and load.

Shouldn't that be stated in the past tense? Or am I anticipating too fast.

Jeb or Mitt. That is the Choice that the RNC and Rove have before them. The rest of us don’t get to choose. We get to fantasize about getting a real candidate who has principles and who actually wants the office and we get to vote in primaries but the primaries don’t actually lead to anywhere that the RNC doesn’t want to go. The RNC and Rove don’t want a Republican, especially a conservative, president. They do want to give the coveted Nomination to a deserving Gope stalwart as a reward for him being a model of Gopeness and then contrive to lose the election to whoever the Democrats put up.

Hahaha, I had a typo. I meant that the author has no idea why there was 5m less votes for Mitt than there was for John McCain. That makes him an east coast elitist R....

I’m sure that I am creating a lot of confusion with my first try...thanks for calling it out.

All he had to do to be president was:

Walk into Terry Schiavo’s room with a cup of water.

Show up and speak at any Tea Party event.

Give Governor Brewer his public and unqualified support.

And he’d be a shoo-in.
