Former NBA great Charles Barkley called out “unintelligent” black people for criticizing successful black people as “acting white” or not acting black enough.
“It’s a dirty dark secret in the black community,” Barkley said, adding later that “we are brainwashed to think if you’re not a thug or an idiot you’re not black enough.”
“There are a lot of black people who are unintelligent, who don’t have success” who believe “it’s best to knock a successful black person down ’cause they’re intelligent, they speak well, they do well in school, and they’re successful,” Barkley added.
Barkley also said that black people will struggle not because of whites but because of all the “crap in your life from other black people.”
He’s a light skinned racist!

One of the reasons that I’ve always been a Barkley fan. He’s not afraid to tell it the way it is.

Many groups have had this mindset. Some manage to overcome it better than others. I don’t agree with much that comes out of Charles Barkley’s mouth, but he took a risk in speaking the truth here. He’s to be commended for it.
I guess Howard University is just there for show ...

Barkley has his faults, but I’ve had a good bit of respect for him and his opinions (well, at least a fair number of them) ever since I heard his response to getting cut from the tryout squad for the US Olympic Team back in the day (by Bobby Knight, as I recall) - Barkley said (in effect) “If it was my decision, I would have cut me too” - no whining, no excuses, and especially no race card, just rolling with the punch like a man.
About damn time someone said it. Thank You Sir Charles, of course he will be called an Uncle Tom, etc but I doubt he will care. Democrats have taught blacks that the only way to be a success is to behave like an idiot and not educate yourself..that way the Dems will always have control over them with food stamps and welfare checks

People like Tony Snow and Bill Cosby exposed these problems/horrors years ago. No one listened then and no one listens now. Bill Cosby, who is in ill health, has tried for years to turn around the black inner city. No luck.

It’s an open secret. No one has the guts to acknowledge the ghetto crab bucket and risk being called a racist or Uncle Tom. Look at the crap Bill Cosby got.
My daughter’s best friend is in med school with only one year to go to become a doctor. Her family (parents, siblings, cousins, etc.) all call her “white girl”.
