Round three for the Bush Dynasty?

Oh, the cockles of many establishment Republican hearts were warmed this week by CNBC’s report that ex-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush looks very much like he’s running for president. One could almost hear the purring of those anticipating their next Plum Book job.

But stories about Jeb Bush give my insides a very different feeling: One of sinking. One of disappointment.

It’s not that I think this Bush would make a bad president; I actually think he’d make a very good one.

It’s just that, come on, this is America. And when one family – or a handful of families – appears over and over at the top of the government, things start looking and feeling a lot more like an aristocracy than a representative republic.

I also think Jeb Bush would probably be a good president - better than his brother. But when one or two families start giving us all our presidents, aren't we starting to look like a South American country?

I voted twice for Jeb as my govenor and he did a fair job but like his brother Jeb is NOT a conservative.
I will NOT again pull the lever for a RINO for President.
No more McLame, Mitt, Jeb, Huckabee etc.
Real conservative or go fish and to hell with it.
More than fed up with the damned pubbie party foisting this crap on us.

There’s yet another generation of bushmasters slithering through the TX underbrush just now. Geo. P is currently running for Land Commissioner, traditionally the first statewide rung on the ladder to higher office. I will be voting libertarian for LC.

What Jeb does is entirely irrelevent to me. I will never vote for an open borders candidate.

Wise move on blanking Cornyn. I voted for the LC candidate and was stalked mercilessly last night by a poster who basically said I had crossed over to the dark side. It got downright irritating after the 3rd post.

I won’t stay home, but I will not vote for any GOPe pols. I won’t vote for any Dims. I just won’t vote in the races with GOPe pols in them.

Yes. That shows a DEARTH of GOP who WANT to run for president. Romney is no choice for me either.

I think Jeb would be a disaster. He’s a big government moderate that also support amnesty and is fine with Government Healthcare.

I will be voting for whoever has the best chance of beating “the Bush” even if it is a Marxist Rat. Another Bush must not be allow to grow in Texas. I will vote 3rd party in the Senate race. Cornyn is an open borders globalist. I will not vote for an open borders globalist. On the rest of the ticket I’ll vote GOP.
