Fear and panic spreads as Ebola doctor's 10-day itinerary reveals he rode three subway lines, ate out, went bowling and took an Uber taxi before testing positive for deadly virus

Doctors Without Borders physician Dr. Craig Spencer visited a busy Williamsburg bowling alley Wednesday night just hours before becoming ill The 33-year-old took an Uber car to Brooklyn from his home in Harlem He tested positive for the deadly virus, New York's first diagnosis

Ebola panic is swarming New York City tonight as it emerged infected doctor Craig Spencer rode the subway, visited a crowded bowling hot spot and took an Uber cab just one day before he was rushed to the hospital with a 103F fever.

Tonight, the Doctors Without Borders physician tested positive for the deadly virus 10 days after returning from Guinea where he was treating patients.

But it has emerged that instead of steering clear of crowds, the 33-year-old last night took the subway from Harlem to Williamsburg, where he visited The Gutter, before taking an Uber cab home.

Earlier that day, he went on a three-mile jog and took the 1 train to the High Line garden - a popular tourist destination - before eating out at a restaurant.

Meaning that residents in at least two dense New York City neighborhoods could have been exposed: Williamsburg and Harlem, where Spencer lives.

New Yorkers have flooded Twitter in panic revealing their fears after visiting the bowling alley and taking the subway at the same time.

One exclaimed: 'He took the subway from Harlem to Brooklyn?!?! YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE CITY SUBWAY SYSTEM TO DO THAT'

Another said: 'Now that Ebola is here, I aint takin the subway no more...'

And one wrote: 'Son Ebola found it's way to NY? I'm sick'

There was a lot of snark and snickering about Dallas and Ebola from Progtards. Lets see how welcoming they are to the Black Death in NY.

In honor of the doctors travels around New York I give you the classic “Take the A Train” by Duke Ellington....

If the growing rat population in NYC turns out to become a vector for Ebola (like the fruit bat in West Africa) the USA will live with this forever. Ironic that Dr Frieden was at one time in charge of the growing rat population of NYC.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Ebola makes you insane. Messes with your mind before the fever comes and is measurable (my theory)

I want to know his politics.

Is he a ‘Rainbow Six’er?

It’s kind of trite that he took Ebola to a Bowl-a.

“The mayor said that being near someone in places like a subway car does not put someone at risk because ‘Ebola is an extremely difficult disease to get.’”

Oh, really?

Obama Repeats: You Can’t Get Ebola on a Bus—Day After Bus Quarantined in D.C.
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/brittany-m-hughes/obama-repeats-you-can-t-get-ebola-bus-day-after-bus-quarantined-dc

“I think there are two different parts of that equation,” he continued. “The first is, if you’re a member of the traveling public and are healthy, should you be worried that you might have gotten it by sitting next to someone? And the answer is no.”

“Second, if you are sick and you may have Ebola, should you get on a bus? And the answer to that is also no. You might become ill, you might have a problem that exposes someone around you,” Frieden said.

Another Ebola Risk: It Eats Logic
http://townhall.com/columnists/markdavis/2014/10/10/another-ebola-risk-it-eats-logic-n1903406/page/full

Mark Davis: So because of concern over the fragile economies of West African nations, or the slight that we may inflict to thousands of people who pose no risk— because of those, we need to say, “Hey, just in from Monrovia? Come on in!”

Steve Bucci: The biggest reason is those kind of bans have historically been proven to not do what they promise to do. They don’t give you the level of protection as a society, whether it be a city or a country that it seems intuitively they would.

MD: We absolutely have the ability to say “If you have a Liberian passport, you’re not coming in.” Try to tell me why that’s not a good idea.

SB: Because it will waste assets and it will not work.
