A man who said he was having trouble with his car convinced Kenneth Byrd, age 67, to open his door. His wife and 19 year old granddaughter were at home at the time.
That was all the opportunity the three man home invasion crew needed. The trio burst into the home, guns drawn and threatened the residents.
According to local media reports, what happened next was nothing short of terrifying:
The Byrds were pushed to the back of their home and instructed to open a safe.
When the men tried to rape the couple’s granddaughter, Byrd grabbed a gun and exchanged shots with the assailants, [Sheriff Kenneth Sealey] said.
The men fled in Byrd’s car.

The man is nothing short of a hero. Took rounds and still connected 3 out of 3. I won’t second guess his actions in any way. Prayers up.

One already got his justice. It’s too bad that the other two didn’t as well. I guess one out of three ain’t bad since the other two were at least wounded.
