From the reactions of the public officials in NYC, this could be the real deal, folks.

And he was on the subway last night....

Let the lawsuits begin.

“Gee, I guess that depends on what the meaning of airborne is.”

Let me know when there are confirmed cases of Ebola going airborne. By confirmed, I mean by people with real Phd’s with real patients and real proof and not blogger speculation.

The photo is not of the doctor. It is from a Jan 2010 article from NYT.com. And I believe the one doing the splits is actually a woman.

http://nycbiznetworking.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/01/nytimescom-true-economic-barometer-how-about-bowling.html

The story is that the doctor went to this “hipster” bowling alley last night, and that he used Uber, which is some sort of car-sharing service, to get there.

We were smarter at NASA in July of 1969, than the CDC currently is.

There already was an airborne strain that killed off monkeys in a zoo. Harmless to humans though. The real question is this, when can the airborne strain effect humans?

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
