Wednesday evening as protesters halted traffic. The incident was part of a protest in response to the Aug. 9 fatal shooting of a 18-year-old African-American by a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo.
Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee said a number of protesters were present on the Downtown Connector near Freedom Parkway. Their presence blocked traffic for a short time.
No arrests were made in connection to the protest, he added.

And yet you can be damn sure that if you were riding your bike on I-75 or walking along it, you would be arrested.
I think those are cops blocking traffic for the heard of protesters formed up further down the road.
I attended a security briefing many years ago and one of the topics is “what to do if you’re trapped in a hostile crowd and you’re in your car”.
The answer is, you drive away. You don’t floor it, you just drive away. No group of humans can stop an average car, it’s just not possible unless they flip you off your wheels and in that case, you do floor it before they get the chance and run over who you have to run over.
My first thought also, but that doesn’t seem to jibe with the cars moving around to bypass them on the extreme right and left......
I would move forward at 10 mph. Problem is, in Atlanta the odds of those first row of cars doing that is very low. Odds are they are blacks, and most agree with the protesters. When the No Bill comes down, all hell is going to break loose. But I predict big time blowback from the affected white community IN this...we’ve had enough of this black BS.
It would do the world a service.
Had to had the help of the cops and city, otherwise they’d have been splats on the fronends and windshields of the cars and trucks that routinely are doing 70-75 MPH.
Continue to piss off working white people. Smart move.
They can’t do anything productive, they know curse words, drugs, sex and the STD’s that go along with it. They want the government to take care of them, they prefer to steal and loot other peoples belongings...I can’t think of any reason to keep them alive.
Just trying to gain attention to ramp up the black vote .

While waiting to catch my train home in Houston last night, a group of these rocket scientists strolled/chanted last. Oddly enough I didn’t see Brown’s name on any of the signs, although one guy had a large board with a list of supposed victims of HPD brutality. Also didn’t see Sheila Jackson Lee or Quannell X. Probably because I also didn’t see any TV cameras.
Should have been “strolled/chanted by.”
