Body camera footage from a Texas cops perspective shows the officer making kissing noises at two dogs, who wag their tails at the human, before he opens fire and kills one.
The second pit bull, tracked down in Cleburne, Texas, was captured without incident by an animal control officer but the killing of the dog has the city investigating the incident after an uproar in the city of 30,000 people some 30 miles south of Fort Worth.
The 22-second clip, uploaded Friday onto YouTube, shows a brown pup and another dark colored dog milling about in a grassy ditch near a culvert. The officer can be heard calling to the animals with little kissing noises, causing the pups to perk up and start wagging their tails as the unidentified male officer approaches

“This bad stuff is broadcast loudly (agenda, anybody?) but is rather rare.”
It isn’t as rare as you might think.
What is rare are “good cops” speaking out about it or prosecutions for it.
We do see from time to time, but never in certain jurisdictions, cops being prosecuted, usually only resulting in terminations and never jail time.
And a dog wagging it’s tail, is the most dangerous of all. /sarc
Some people are disturbed by cars driving through their neigborhood. Some people hate dogs for no reason. Some people are just disturbed.
That The women reporting the dogs told cops the animals were frequently out disturbing neighbors" means absolutely nothing in this context. It is up to the cops to determine how, in fact, the dogs were "disturbing" anyone and then call animal control services.
LOL....Projection.
Notice I said PITT BULLS....not labs, like mine. Not collies, like mine, not Poodles and Terriers like my neigbors, not Aussie cattle dogs like on the family farm, not boxers like my pastors, not husky's like my aunts, not corgi like my neices, nope.
If those dogs are on the lose, I put them in the back of the pickup and try to get them back to the owner (if responsible owners have them chipped and tagged). If not, they go to the non-lethal pound.
HOWEVER, If I find a pit bull lose in the rural area of my county, its a good way to get yourself wounded/killed trying to rescue them. Most "pack up" and are dangerous. Unfortunately, ourur meth heads and illegal immigrants love pitt bulls and feed them gunpowder to make them mean. They are a status symbol among the criminal element, ignorant, and unwashed.
We kill pittbulls onsite if they are lose because of their nature of killing children, killing toddlers, killing adults, killing their neighbors, and killing livestock and domestic animals.
Maybe your pitbulls are little halo-wearers?....not ours. The rural areas of Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, Garland, White, and Jefferson (all within 30 or so miles of me) are besieged by dangerous, packed-up dogs.
Tell you what. You have me thinking about the threat. I think I'll take a half day off to go early vote and then drive around the beautiful west Pulaski Co. dirt roads today. I might even get lucky and help protect our citizens from dumbass dog owners and dangerous animals. I haven't shot a pitbull in over two years. Maybe today, thanks to you, I'll bag a couple and protect our citizens, livestock, and children.
I have a New GoPro. Maybe I'll send you the pictures. I have to attach it to my John Norrell suppressed 10/22 with auto-sear first though. I'll send you a video if you'd like.
Right you are.
Still, now with the breed so contaminated, there is no way now to know if a puppy possesses the old good traits or the new “turn on you” in-bred traits. Like messing with ebola, its better to be safe than sorry.
The commercial unions don't turn on each other either...Well you know, the car dealers unions...The bankers unions, the land-lord unions, the manufacturer unions...
Part of the article was clearly a lie so it's safe to assume the entire article was a lie...The cop killed a dog with it's tail wagging in a friendly manner that was clearly no threat to the cop...
You tube removed the video...
The problem is they let the bad cops continue to serve...So you know there are good and bad mixed in the same group...Better to err on the side of caution...
Apparently none of the neighbors were disturbed enough to call animal control...
I’m pissed that the cop shot the dog like this,
but there is an important lesson here for dog owners.
Don’t let your dogs run loose,
you can neither guarantee they won’t hurt someone,
nor that they will safe from some idiot.
