I read her biography, and what this woman’s been through is tragic, sadly, even more so than the other two girls Castro captured. She came from an abusive home, was raped by a family member and became teenage mom. As she was very short (like 4’11’)and had learning disabilities, Castro though she was younger than her 21 years when he captured her. In his sick mind, he thought she tricked him, as he desired young virgin, so he heaped extra abuse on her.
She had several pregnancies, each one ending in miscarriage after Castro beat her. Then he would blame her for aborting his children. Knight is now incapable of bearing children due to the lack of any medical care for over 11 years. She mourned each loss of life, as the children conceived were more of Castro’s innocent victims.
In her book her one reason for living was her son, Joey, who was adopted by another family. The family who adopted him did send her a few pictures, so she has that, but that’s all she has. He doesn’t know about her and she hasn’t seen him since before she was taken.
Because of her experiences, Knight maintains a positive attitude and respect for all life, and is very much pro-life in regards to abortion. She’s trying to cope with something that was so horrifically unimaginable, so she deserves a break.
He would take his daughter by Amanda Berry to visit his family. No way his mother and two brothers didn’t know more than what they let on.
“it’s sin and therefore evil”
That does not mean it is not a disease caused by deformed brain structure/chemistry or hormone imbalance.
Normal sexual wiring is a product of these physical things and as we know from physical deformities, not everyone is born perfect.
Our society helps the physically disabled but leaves the mentally disabled in jail or in the gutter.
Are you kidding me? That guy is an evil POS who should have been lined up and shot like a rabid dog. In fact they should have let that poor woman pull the trigger.
You can let it go of course and say that I'm not going to let it affect my own life any longer, but to my mind that is not “forgiveness” which is a two-way street.
It's like, say a man whose wife commits adultery. He tells her he forgives her, and is truly no longer angry at her, but divorces her anyway. The relationship has NOT been restored.
That's my opinion, anyway. I would be interested to learn what others think.
