Perhaps the Catholic church should purge its ranks of homosexuals — and thereby reduce the molestation problem.

Bingo… whenever I get into a discussion about ‘gay’ stuff, the first thing that I do is make sure that the word ‘gay’ is eradicated from the discussion and then when describing ‘gay’ individuals, I only use the phrase…. “those who claim to be sexually attracted to their own sex”. Most people that want to argue that ‘homosexuality is just fine and just another form of sexual expression’ tend to only want to engage in discussions about ‘feelings, love, natural tendencies, equal rights, caring for each other” and the suchlike blah blah blah fluff that is as shallow as a kiddie pool. If the discussion is about marriage, then I remind the person I’m speaking with that the purpose of marriage is to allow the sexual characteristics that are innate to all humans to be expressed and manifested in a way that is God approved….and that the only unique thing about marriage is in fact the sexual act. Everything else is just about normal life and friendship etc. Sex is the essential ingredient…without it, there is no marriage. With it, the marriage and individuals stay healthy and thrive. Having regular sexual relations and releases is humankind’s normal state of being and marriage is the vehicle by which that can happen in a God approved way. And that is the case for ALL male-female marriages…. even those for which it’s not even possible anymore to have sexual intercourse because of age or health. At that point, I ask the question “so do you think that anal sex is a suitable, healthy, natural and normative form of sexual expression for all people? Because since sexual intercourse is the essential ingredient of all marriages, your answer has to be yes, right?”
The key here is that when arguing with anybody about homosexuality, always take them back to the sex act itself…. you’ll soon find out that their argument falls apart if for no other reason then it’s impossible to argue that anal sex is a healthy state of being.

Actually, gayness means anal sex pretty much everywhere. (Read that in any sense you wish and you’ll probably be right.)
It's a taboo with plenty of American Catholics as well, because frankly, we're damn sick of hearing about it.

Oh C’mon Ben, there is so much to gay identity besides checking the oil in their motor. It is worshipping at the altar of St. Judy St. Madonna & St. Diana Ross. I was raised Catholic and still attend Mass every Sunday so I’ve got a pretty darned good idea what I’m talking about.
There are NOT a lot of Catholic homosexual Priests.
