Obama must REALLY like to get his picture taken. I couldn’t grin like that if you put a gun to my head. He ALWAYS looks the same.
I wonder how those guys are doing now. I’m sure the CDC would assure us there is “low risk” of getting any droplets of anything on you while power washing virulent vomit in a t-shirt. Do I need the /s?
Will watch FR for info. .working this weekend.
expected to discuss DART incident at 3:30.
Most people I know don’t just “fall ill” in public. They usually start to feel sick, and then make it home to rest.
...I’m not sure this will have a happy ending.
------------------------------------------->
I've got my tin foil cap on.
Transportation with high usage of fanning out travelers.
Planes, buses, cruise ships have tons of people who go to different destinations. Infect planes, buses and cruise ships - people infected can spread Ebola in different directions.
I know I'm not writing clearly but what I'm saying is:
1 person tells 2 people, 2 people tell 4 people...etc. Pretty soon Ebola is spread out to all areas of the country.
People get ill, there is major absenteeism, the economy fails, the transportation system fails.
Never let a good crisis go to waste...
Oh, just great! DART rail is my way of getting to my appointments at the V.A. hospital since my 30 year old car is on it’s last legs and unreliable for such a trip. I should’ve known that Obola would screw that up, too.
Story has changed, as has the headline—
“DART: Woman ill at train station not on Ebola list”
They are now saying she wasn’t on the list, but confirmed a connection with the Ivy Apartments. Says she is considered low risk.
Hopefully, it’s a touch of the flu, otherwise....
The cameraman in Nebraska with ebola says he thinks he may have become infected while helping wash an infected car.
WTH???
http://www.wfaa.com/story/news/health/2014/10/18/ebola-dart-station-dallas-monitoring/17503345/
DALLAS Officials now say that a woman who fell ill at the Dallas Area Rapid Transit White Rock Station Saturday afternoon is not known to be a part of any Ebola watch list.
Please call your political hacks and remind them quarantines are to prevent exposure not to watch those exposed. Exposure which has already happened means person confined in one place and monitored.
I am old enough to remember that words mean something other than what people just decide they want them to mean.
QUARANTINE = ISOLATION OF EXPOSED PERSON UNTIL INCUBATION PERIOD OVER!
If you live in that slum, you’re “cash-flow” may not be the kind reported to the authorities. Just sayin’.
I thought we were talking about municipal water supplies, not vomit or secretions on cars.
Jenkins looks like a deranged Howdy Doody.
Exactly. .she lives at the same complex as Duncan. ..was/is considered lowrisk .
“Obama’s honor system”
Like the 70% of the “unaccompanied minors” who failed to appear for their status hearings?
African Thomas Duncan just cost us a half-million dollars for a 9 day stay.
I-M-P-E-A-C-H!
There are bus stops around the Ivy Apts. and she was about 3 miles away. That means she was coming back home from somewhere. There isn’t a shopping center or grocery store or restaurant by the White Rock station so what was she doing there? She passed the Walmart stop (likely where the brown blanket was bought) and went on further. It isn’t just a stop, it’s a main commuter terminal where people leave their cars. Perhaps she works maintenance there or cleans houses nearby? I dunno.
“What happens to ebola if it gets in our water?”
Generally It depends on if the water is chlorinated or not, and how long the Chlorine contact time was. Also there is at least one bacteria/Virus for which Chlorine is not very effective at standard water system concentration. I do not know how Ebola fits into that equation.
Untreated water would probably become very contagious. If it ever got into bottled spring water it would be a nightmare.
Acted like one, too.
The first symptom of Ebola appears to be a strong desire to use public transportation.
