Accusing Americans of Ebola 'Hysteria,' GMA Makes Absurd Argument Against Travel Ban
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

It's clear that the liberal media will latch on to any argument, even the most patently nonsensical, to oppose a travel ban on people from Ebola-affected countries. Take today's Good Morning America where co-anchors Paula Faris and Dan Harris accused Americans of "hysteria" over Ebola and concoted an anti-travel ban argument flying right into the face of the facts.

Speaking of flying, the oblivious duo asserted that a flight ban makes no sense since Ebola can only be passed via contact with bodily fluids. But surely Faris and Harris know that Thomas Eric Duncan had no such symptoms when he boarded a plane to the US, where he proceeded to infect at least two people before dying. Thus the only way to ensure that infected people don't get into the US is to impose a general travel ban: hello?

The hysteria is in the confusion, and ABC says 'no' when everyone else says 'yes' ... I'm confused

It's a tactic that I think Sun Tzu describes.

After the pathetic bungling by the CDC, the public isn’t buying the official line from Obama and his media. We went to our doctor’s office this week, usually full during this allergy season, and it was practically deserted for the first time ever.

Online shopping will be popular this holiday season because people will not be going out to spend money in crowds, and there certainly won’t be as many people flying after the Frontier Airlines ebola fiasco.

They’re more interested in protecting Obola’s absurd decision to keep the flow of potentially infected coming from the hot zone than protecting the USA. Patient Zero was apparently without symptoms apparent when he came here.
What must the public do to show these fringe lunatic liberals that we are not stupid?

Is that a trick question? In order to convince liberals we’re not stupid, we’d have to actually be stupid, just like them.

Thomas Eric Duncan could still fly into the USA at the same stage of his infection.

He would just have to lie on a few more questions.

there certainly won’t be as many people flying after the Frontier Airlines ebola fiasco.

The only "fiasco" was CDC contact tracing all those poor (now terrified) passengers who they know perfectly well have zero risk, while continuing to recommend inadequate PPE for health care workers who are at very high risk, as CDC also well knows.

Leaving our border porous to penetration by D68 and ebola vectors makes about as much sense for the health of the nation as does jabbing holes through your skin when in at-risk localities. Our border is our national skin. It’s supposed to be our first line immune defense. Purposely, premeditatedly puncturing it is beyond insane; it is malignant evil.

It isn’t “hysteria” now, but it will be if these buffoons don’t take the necessary precautions.

The African nations know better...the U.S. leadership is too arrogant to listen and learn.

Funny that we never heard these leftists complain about “AIDS Hysteria” back in the 80s.

What will get the airline bam bling corporate heads to freak out is the lack of holiday travellers defying their non refunds

They won’t fly if you pay them

And then, I don’t know. Do people start looking at it as bps doing?

Probably never certainly not with congress covering for him

They hated/ hate Cruz for standing up to it. Don’t know how they think they’ll get paid in this mess

That liberal runt Adam was trying to make the same argument on Fox News just now. He sounded like a complete moron. He used words like, immature and knee-jerk. Typical liberal douchebag.
