DENVER The president of Frontier Airlines says a nurse who was on flights between Dallas and Cleveland and who later tested positive for Ebola may have been at a more advanced stage of the illness than previously thought.Barry Biffle emailed employees Friday about the findings by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He said the CDC has assured the Denver-based airline that crewmembers on the flights are at a very low risk of exposure. The airline put the pilots and flight attendants on leave for 21 days, which health experts consider the outer limit of how long it would take someone exposed to Ebola to become sick.Biffle says passengers on Amber Joy Vinson's flight from Dallas to Cleveland on Oct. 10 and her return flight to Dallas on Monday have been notified.

Wait and see if someone else comes down with it from the plane. Maybe the “CZAR OF EBOLA” can save us!

If that’s true, she may be done for. Prayers up for her, despite what risks she may have taken.

Agreed, prayers for her.

With planning her wedding, she was probably in denial about the risks.

Rabies can be anywhere from 10 days to two years.

Think about that.

Also thinking the Ebola Czar was hired to help squash info from leaking. We’ve heard nothing about the first nurse’s boyfriend or the second nurse’s boyfriend, or the family of Duncan. Seems news is being withheld.

Yes exactly. They have no clue how long the incubation period is, just as they’ve been making mistakes all along.

Maybe that’s why they’re trying to blame dogs.

They can’t hire lawyers.

I don’t know who to ask or where to ask... but what is being done to decontaminate the aircraft that have carried all these people?

If the Republicans were smart, they would place protesters in front of the White House, and in every state where there is a Senate race. The protestors would carry signs that read “President Obola: Stop killing America’s children”

Beats me.

I’d prefer fire but that’s not economically feasible.

Supposedly, even 91% alcohol is only really effective if left on for something like 20 minutes.

Kinda hard to soak a plane for that long.

I didn’t think first world health care workers would be this stupid. We need to forcibly quarantine people who have cared for Ebola patients to insure they don’t go flying with an active case of Ebola

Day’s 1 and 2 after Duncan’s arrival, family and friends claimed he was tired and restless. They said he did not do much the 1st 2 days because of “Jetlag”. Day 3 or 4 (I forget now) he made his 1st visit to the emergency room and the rest is history. The virus was already kicking in and the early stages might very well resemble jetlag. I thought about that last night after reading several accounts of Ms. Vinson stating she felt “funny” for a few days. Yet no mention of this mess called the CDC of monitoring the ones on Duncan’s plane.

*******************************
The cleaning crew mentioned that the airline made them stop wearing respirators/masks because it was “freaking out the passengers” so we’re either talking about the cleaning crew being seen entering the aircraft by passengers at the gate or they’re asking passengers to de-plane while they clean and re-board.

Bleach works but it’s damaging to fabrics and simply changing the seats means a few days and $$$$$$ ,, seat cushions are velcro’d in place and can be changed quickly ,, best guess is a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide (home solution is 3% , beauty parlor is 25-35% , hospital decontamination and surgical instrument sterilization is 100%) and hopefully something aerosol to clean the ventilation system and parts that are missed... maybe a strong ozone...

The airline put the pilots and flight attendants on leave for 21 days

How many more events like this before an airline has to stop flying because no crews are available?

Did the cleaning crews get 21 days of leave?
