Mostly precursors, weren’t they? IIRC, there were also full binary systems.

My paw-in-law (may he RIP), a share-cropper raised during the depression,
could wax eloquently about the difference in how to cook,
and the taste between, robins and crows.

I remember an ole man say the robin and crow was gonna be good this year

I was like 11 years old and asked how he knew.

He pointed to the wheat fields and said ...look, they’re full.

Are those even safe to eat? Dove, duck and goose are game birds and the only fowl I’ll eat.

Most of us, in our generation, have never really been “hungry”.
Missing a meal or two don’t even come close.
We would all be surprised as to what we would do if we “had to”.

I just caught a few minutes and was wondering why he’s going into such detail about his laurels.

He talks about his accolades, every once in a while, but I’ve never heard him go into so much detail, like this.

That’s what Mrs S said. She thinks new contract negotiations are at hand.

I suppose if you are really hungry enough, “safe” is not the main concern.
Didn’t Columbus’s crew eat rats and shoe leather?
And don’t even get started about the Donner Party...

I’ve shot quail, pheasant and chucker before and those were tasty! I would love to hunt grouse and partridge but those aren’t around here.
