Obama relies on so-called czars just to get around having to nominate and confirm cabinet positions. That's how he gets his fellow travelers in control of the government.

With this news I'm going to start planning my exit from this insane nation. The outcome of the next two election cycles will determine if I act on that plan, but I'm just not going to live in the midst of this absolute madness.

And, yes, there are certainly places that will be more sane.

Administration supporters raise a stink that Obama’s (VERY Liberal) nominee for Surgeon General languishes without approval, blaming the “partisan” Republicans

That is an ENORMOUS lib lie that no GOP leader is bothering to refute.

The Senate "nuclear option" is in effect. All it takes is 51 votes to confirm a nominee. The Dem's have 55 votes in the Senate.

The Republicans cannot block this nomination even if they wanted to. It is Reid who is blocking this nomination.

And what reason would we have to believe that Dr. Lurie would be any better? Frieden is a politically corrected imbecile, and she probably is also, if she is an Obama voter.

Feckless cretins all.

To be fair, the man Bush II appointed to head FEMA, Michael Brown (of “Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job” fame) was also a lawyer. He had very minimal experience in emergency management.

If I were president, they only people I'd appoint to crisis positions would be retired Marine Corps colonels.

One thing that reasonable people can all agree on is that the most important qualification for the Ebola Czar is a demonstrated history of Democratic party loyalty.

Wait, wut?

If Obama can appoint another “all-powerful” Czar (after helping to engineer the demand for the position rather than designate someone already in the bloated bureaucracy), it’s obviously more beneficial to him & Reid to continue playing this game.

RE the welfare of the American people they’re sworn to protect, it’s despicable…

“Completely idiotic to turn this over to a politician.”

Not if you view ebola as a political opportunity instead of a health crisis. Remember Rahm Emmanuel’s credo of never letting a crisis go to waste?

This guy’s mission will be to develop talking points for the media to spew as well as quietly reminding every member of Congress what is contained in their FBI and NSA files. Within a week the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC, and other media outlets will be full of stories about his effective management of the crisis.

And is why the Katrina debacle was a cluster. I saw lawyers destroy the efficiency of the FDA, the USPHIS, the USDA and make the EPA and other government organizations tyrannical and inefficient. There are many common sense veterinarians that need to be selected here because where does one think most of these threats in disease originate?

One savvy observer noted: There is no case for an American Ebola czar who is a political "fixer" w/ no expertise in public health. ...just another case of Obama putting politics before substance....

Obama's hand-picked "Czar Klain" indicates serious tax dollars are being readied for offshore wire transfer.

"Czar Klain" Once Oversaw dispersion of billions in “Stimulus” Tax Dollars
What does "Czar Klain" know about this?

"Hi there, Americans. Obama put me in charge of the trillion dollar stimulus.
My son and brother are gonna help my office disperse the money. "

Offshore Fraudster had links to offshore fund run by VP Biden's relatives
Reuters on Yahoo | 2/23/09 | BY Ajay Kamalakaran

(Reuters) – A fund of offshore hedge funds run by two members of VP Joe Biden's family was marketed exclusively by offshore firms controlled by Texas financier Allen Stanford, charged by regulators with an $8 billion fraud, the Wall Street Journal said.

The Bidens $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens' Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and the offshore Stanford Financial Group entity headquartered in Antigua, and was known as the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund, the paper said. Stanford-related offshore companies marketed the Biden fund to investors and also invested about $2.7 million of their own money in the fund, the paper said, citing a lawyer for Paradigm.

Paradigm Global Advisors is owned through a holding company by the vice president Biden's son, Hunter, and Joe Biden's brother, James, according to the WSJ. Paradigm's attorney, Marc LoPresti, who represents Hunter Biden and James Biden, as well as Paradigm, told the paper he did not know which Stanford entity invested the roughly $2.7 million. NOTE A lawyer for Hunter Biden and James Biden told reporters the Bidens NEVER met or communicated with Stanford. (/snicker)

=========================================================

Convicted con man R. Allen Stanford used offshore corporate money to subsidize the Democratic convention in Denver. A video posted on the firm's web-site shows Stanford, being hugged by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and praised by former President Bill Clinton for helping to finance a Democrat convention-related forum and party put on by the National Democratic Institute.

"I would like to thank the Stanford Financial Group for helping to underwrite this," Clinton said to the crowd at the event. Stanford Financial was listed as the "lead benefactor" for the gathering, and Stanford was permitted to address the audience of several hundred.

The SEC charged yesterday that Stanford was running a fraudulent offshore investment scheme that may have bilked customers out of as much as $8 billion. Over the last decade, Stanford has spent more than $7 million on lobbyists and campaign contributions to Washington politics in both parties, although the vast majority of the money has gone to Democrats.

"We had no reason to believe that a very public company that was also engaged in philanthropic work might be suspect," said a spokesperson for the National Democratic Institute, Amy Dudley. (Excerpt) Read more at abcnews.go.com ...
