And this year's worst idea ever... goes to John McCain.
"Whoop whoop", "Yipee", "Oh that John McCain, he's on such a roll...", "Hooray!", "Gooooo Johnny-boy!"...
And now accepting on behalf of Senator from Arizona John McCain..., what's that, oh, why it's the Senator himself. Who knew he was back-stage? Senator...
"Ahhh, I'd like to uhhhh, thank the people who made this possible. There were my parents of course, who taught me it's okay to be a total screw-up. I promised myself I would honor them for this forever. There was the grade school staff that allowed me to say on even though I loved to start fights all the time on the playground. I enjoyed beating the other kids up. How cool was that! There was the Annapolis faculty, where I was allowed to sneak off compus and come in about fifth from the bottom of a class of 800 graduates. I was so honored. There were the trainers at flight school, who let me skate. I'll always appreciate what they didn't do for me. There was the Navy that had faith in my skills to become a reverse Ace. Finally, things began to come together. Soon I found myself at the Hanoi Hilton. There my prison guards were great, one of them I love to this very day day. It's amazing the contacts you develop along the way. Some of them handle big personalities better than others. Thanks to the families of the MIAs, and the veterans groups too that took my abuse. It was a growth experience for them I couldn't pass up. (music starts playing) It was character building. There was the U. S. Senate that allowed me to skate after taking the most money from Keating during that scandal, and pay for gifts I never reported over seven years late. How can you ever thank some people. I felt so honored. (music gets louder) There were the fine people of Arizona who voted me in over and over and over and... well you get the idea. I mean, don't you? I've had some help along the way. (quietly) Suckers..., (louder) thank you so much! To the American public who couldn't grasp my value to the nation, so didn't vote me in, 'Look at me now! Ha!' Through it all, I have perservered. Today, after all this, I remain here doing what I've always done, screwing up. So in conclusion I'd like to say a..." (mic is cut off)
