Sam Stein's Awful Argument Against Travel Ban: Helps America But Hurts West Africa
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 10/17/2014 5:25:08 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

The last time we looked, Barack Obama was President of the United States, not of some other country. So if a ban on travel into the United States by people from Ebola-ravaged countries in West Africa would help America, isn't it President Obama's obligation to impose it, even if it might hurt those African countries?

On today's Morning Joe, HuffPo's Sam Stein twice acknowledged that the ban might "help America." Yet he argued against the ban on the grounds that it would hurt West Africa and make it harder to track people fleeing those countries. You sensed Sam's heart wasn't entirely in it, and when he finished Joe Scarborough thanked him, saying he was going to hit Stein's weak delivery out of the park, as that SF Giants batter did last night in the ninth.

As President, isn’t Obama’s first obligation to protect America? Ping to Today show list.

Lord knows we would want to help America - specifically if it helps whites.

The fact that people are scared and dying in West Africa hurts a lot more than a commercial travel ban. Sam Stein needs to pull his head out of his ebola-infected $%^

Sounds like someone who is trying to be as good as Ben Stein, but simply isn’t.

No one ever told “O” what the whole US ‘President’n’ thing is all about.

And, NOT being a US citizen... “O” can’t figure it out for himself.

Result: We have a malicious, incompetent, self-serving, anti-American, venal half-wit in the WH who, just like a prostitute, will sell (HAS SOLD) himself to anyone who has an ax to grind against the US.

The Ebola debacle will be interesting only in that it will bring “O” and all his many policy failures into the glaring and unforgiving light of day.

In the past when the world faced disasters... the US was THE unfailing, unquestioning, generous to a fault, go-to, safety net power for all and any in need…where they could apply for (AND GET) the most open handed, unbiased assistance. We’ll SEE about that NOW

After all these YEARS of “O” apologies for American exceptionalism, after all his incompetence, his bungled and intentionally misguided policies (domestic and foreign), after all Obama’s rope-a-dope rhetoric about what he WILL and WON’T do… we’ll just SEE where that leaves the US and all the f’n powers world-wide who jumped on the ‘I Hate America’ train… right along with American Liberals who made the most shameful political capital out of competing with them and ONE ANOTHER to spew the MOST baseless, defamatory and patently mendacious BS about the America and Americans!

(I can’t call “O” a traitor because that would imply that he is a citizen)

It would cost only a few million a year to pay Ebola survivors in Africa generous salaries by African standards to staff hospitals.

Undoubtedly it would cost more to train the people and supply the hospital and dormitories for the staff.

If you want to make Americans hate Africa and Africans, by all means let some more Liberians and Guineans fleeing Ebola bring the disease her.

A black African infects an Asian American and African American, and the racist elites still blame Whites?

No one has stepped up to say a ban would help Africa. With Ebola in the US, that takes away from money being sent, healthcare being sent and general aid being sent there. As it is, hospitals have already swamped the suppliers with orders for PPEs. FB dude donated $25 million to America’s CDC whereas he might have sent it to Africa. We’ll need more and more of those doctors to return to America to help our sick leaving less to help in Africa. Then those potentially infected US healthcare workers will take it back over there and infect more Africans. IOW, obola is destroying his homeland.

White Christians will receive their just deserts through Ebola justice. Kind of like Jews in Nazi Germany.
