WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday authorized the Pentagon to call up reserve and National Guard troops if they are needed to assist in the U.S. response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
Obama signed an executive order that allows the government to call up more forces and for longer periods of time than currently authorized. There is no actual call-up at this point...

My family member only goes if the Congress and Obama lead the way and go over with him.

So...you call up the Guard and Reserves to do what, exactly...I’ll tell you why...unlike the active duty, when these folks come home, they will disperse back into the community...the better to eventually spread this disease...

I think this is a misuse of the military. They fight armed enemies, not viruses. I realize the National Guard is a little different. But this is not an appropriate use of them.
I sometimes wonder if Obama has more allegiance to Africa than he does to the U.S.
Send over staff from the CDC to Africa. Send medical supplies and money for medical needs. They need medical services, not military services.
However there are some politicians I think we could spare in service to Africa for the ebola problem who would be well equipped to handle the excrement since they seem to traffic in cr*p so much of the time.

I suspect the call-up is legitimate, but the pretense is FALSE. These troops are probably actually intended to suppress rioting and mayhem in the big cities once Ebola gets out and the economy crashes.
