Recent history, just 2012, show that these numbers are a joke, more government lies. Animal farm in Living Color.

Just before the election in 2012, we had:

When arguing with MSNBC Host Chris Matthews this is what Mr. Welch, Former General Electric CEO, had to say about BLS numbers:

“…The numbers don’t jibe. These numbers defy logic. They defy logic. We do not have a 4 to 5 percent booming economy with 873,000 people added. I mean, stop it, Chris. On the face of it, we don’t have this GDP. I love you, but you can’t get there.”

And this: 2012 Jobless Claims Keep Getting Revised Up

News Thursday that the U.S. Department of Labor revised upward its weekly initial jobless-claims number for the previous week didn’t cause much of a huge stir on financial markets, but it represented the latest in an unusual string of adjustments to the closely followed data.

In 2012, here is what Rush had to say...

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/05/31/if_it_s_thursday_we_have_revised_jobless_numbers

And I went back into our archives, and I dug out the Reuters and the AP articles about weekly jobless claims from the past three weeks. And I did this just to be able to demonstrate how the one-party media that we have here is lying to us. Now, I’ve been saying, pointing out for weeks now that Reuters and the AP and the rest of the news media have been hiding the increase in new jobless numbers by reporting the unrevised number.
...

In fact, the weekly jobless claims number has now been revised up 19 weeks in a row and 64 out of the last 65 weeks.
...

Reuters is doing an about-face. And they’re actually admitting that new jobless claims have gone up for four weeks in a row.
This is unprecedented in the modern era.
Reuters and AP have been carrying the regime’s water on this unemployment news, and even today they’re trying to.
...

And AP and Reuters and the rest can do everything they want to try to convince people that everybody else is doing well. There’s no evidence. You don’t see it. Nobody’s living it. So they’re now becoming jokes.

This is the fifth straight week it has been the below 300,000 and the first time I have seen it this low since I have been monitoring it for over 5 years. It's fun with Thursday jobs numbers once again...

We should all "Stay Tuned" for the final week before the elections when we will be "informed" that only a few hundred new applications for unemployment benefits were filed! Then, somehow (after the elections) it will be "discovered" that a great deal of faulty data was compiled "by mistake"!

The figures are misleading, to be polite.

How about the part time workers who get laid off?

They are not eligible for unemployment.

And all of the kids out of college looking for a job?

They are not eligible for unemployment.

And all the high school grads who decide to look for a job instead of going to college?

They are not eligible.

And how about all of the illegals that sneak in each month?

They are not elligible for unemployment.

And of course we all know there are huge numbers whose unemployment has run out but they still have not found a job or are working part time.

Wake up and think about it instead of swallowing obumbler numbers.

Welfare is so lucrative, unemployment claims are not a meaningful metric.

What about the stories that came out a few weeks back saying that American born employment is lower today than it was in 2007 and that the approx. 2 million jobs “gained” went to immigrants (one supposes many will be low paid part time work but there are the HB-1 Visas to count). So those born in the US have employment levels below 2007, I guess we just just warehouse the young people leaving high school and those leaving college - they don’t get unemployment so they don’t count. All these layoffs - those people won’t be working anymore?
