'Who's the idiot with the clipboard?' Disbelief and panic as mystery man WITHOUT a hazmat suit helps second Ebola nurse board her plane to Atlanta, disposes waste and then climbs aboard (full title)

Man casually dressed in shirt and pants seen on TV walking with Ebola patient Amber Vinson

He carried a clipboard and walked alongside Ms Vinson and healthcare workers who were ALL dressed in Hazmat suits

He has been identified as a supervisor for Phoenix Air, the company that flew Miss Vinson to Atlanta

Miss Vinson walked onto the plane in Dallas and the man without protection also boarded the plane, flying with her to Atlanta, Georgia

Social media has dubbed him the 'clipboard man' -

As news helicopters swarmed over Dallas' Love Field on Wednesday evening to watch the second U.S. nurse to contract Ebola board a private plane bound for Atlanta, one lone mysterious man stood out from the pack.

Holding a clipboard and directing the transfer, the unidentified man seemed to be the only person on the tarmac without protective clothing, wearing just a button down shirt and slacks.

While Ebola is not an airborne disease, his presence so close to patient Amber Vinson's medical team sparked fears after he was seen grabbing a container and Hazmat trash bag from one of the workers' in full-protective gear and later boarding the flight.

He then flew with Vinson and the other Hazmat-suited medical staff to Atlanta and local television crews spotted him with the stricken nurse as she disembarked at the airport in Georgia to be transferred to Emory University Hospital.

When the plane landed in Atlanta, the man had still not donned any protective clothing and was seen openly interacting with Vinson and the other medical professionals caring for the nurse.

Surely that has to be one of those "protocol breaches" the CDC keeps saying is so bad, right?

Then you are hearing the WRONG thing, It is NOT an airborne disease. That is a scientific fact.

It is dangerous and deadly, but more people will die of the flu this rear, by a HUGE margin (tens of thousands). Wanna quarantine people then quarantine people with the flu.

The Ebola scare tactics are nothing more than fear mongering control.

Keep an eye out for any reports on clipboard mans health, during the next three weeks or so.
And has anyone heard how that law enforcement guy that went to the Frisco Texas CareNow facility is doing?

If the "clipboard guy" gets sick, he fricken deserves it. Nobody's that stupid!

The deputy was declared safe (no Ebola).

Because liberals have replaced competence with social justice/civil rights issues as the top requirement in every unionized company such as his and most non unionized companies.

Seriously. Our top businessmen and managers are now largely from the Unique little snowflake/participation trophy generations. And they are largely unable to think or act critically.

That is a requirement for advancement in most business and yes, the military today.

They probably only have enough for a few select people. After the election, you'll be eligible for the vaccination once you sign up for 0bamacare.

“Ok, for this scene, I want you to show concern for the patient, but also a subtle, yet impending feeling of doom on your face. Just enough to convey deep-seeded malaise, perhaps drawn from childhood experience.

“Remember you’re in a hazmat suit so emotion won’t show as easily on camera. And for God’s sake, try to sweat a little! Should we cut off your air supply? Would that help the sweat flow?

“BE the virus Danny, BE EBOLA!

“ACTION!”

my thoughts exactly. we aren’t as educated on how to perform in these situations as needed.

Just read they have put the pilots and flight attendants on the Frontier flight on 21 days paid leave, abundance of caution, yada yada yada.

more people will die of flu this year...

Especially now that they'll be afraid to go to the hospital, for fear of getting Ebola and/or of being put in quarantine for their symptoms.

Here's a question I can't get answered: Assume someone who has the flu has also been infected by Ebola. Will the flu symptoms increase the spread of Ebola?

Fluids can be placed in the form of an aerosol by many different methods besides sneezing and coughing.

Technically, the flu isn’t “airborne” either, but that just screws up your rant.

CDC is arguing over a strict definition of the term “airborne”, yet they also say on their website that individuals are at risk of contracting ebola just by being in the same room as an infected patient.

Not “airborne”? Sure /s

I'm pretty sure one of the ways they said the Dallas nurse(s) might have contracted the disease was by touching something that came in contact with the patient. So, if he touches one of those guys in the hazmat suits, or the red bag full of whatever... even if he touches the hand rail after the hazmat guy touches it on the way up the stairs... isn't the potential for transmission there?

The reason the person they are transporting has the disease is because they didn't treat it like it was highly contagious. Don't you think they should have learned their lesson my now?
