Former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said there is “no question” that the environment caused by the Islamic State, Ukraine, and Ebola crises has put President Obama in a “bad light.”
“You don’t get to choose the crisis you deal with as a president,” Carney said. “I think in the end this is not a political issue. It’s an issue that has to be handled…There is no question in this environment it all washes back on the White House and that puts him in a bad light.”
Carney addressed the crisis of confidence leadership after CNN’s Chris Cuomo pointed out that Americans have no idea who is running the show when major problems arise.
“In that situation ultimately it’s the president because it’s his administration that’s charged with all aspects,” Carney said.

But with proper leadership all of them could have been prevented.
The outbreak does not put Obama in a bad light.
Obama leaving American borders wide open, while ever more cases get in, DOES put Obama in a very bad light.
Democrats do not have America’s security and safety, in mind.
For shame.
Bad light. Ebolobama is darkness itself.
Carney got out just in the nick of time. I have to wonder if he saw this coming.
What a great way to indefinitely postpone those pesky midterms. We would not want to infect the masses, standing in line and using those same voting machines one after the other, now would we? They are creating a major panic through the media so that the public will buy into any such “suggestion”. Just sayin’.
The October surprise that Bob Beckel predicted?
Maybe not, but Obama certainly had a major part in CAUSING them.
You do get to choose:
The occupant of our White House chose to send guns illegally to Mexican drug gangs, so he got to deal with the Fast and Furious crisis.
The usurper chose to push Obamacare through illegally and then to bungle the rollout, which was his choice to deal with the Obamacare software fiasco.
The community organizer chose to withdraw our troops from Iraq against the advice of the adults, which was a choice to deal with the ISIS crisis.
The traitor-in-chief chose to let West Africans into our country with no restrictions, which was a choice to deal with the Ebola crisis.
Obama has done nothing other than choose crises to inflict on us for nearly six years.
I think he left because the Benghazi hearings were about to crank up and he didn’t want to have to defend his lies.
Obama "chose" the ISIL crisis by not leaving a residual force. He "chose" the Ukraine crisis by pulling missile defense in Poland. He "chose" Ebola by not putting in protocols earlier to keep W. African people out. He "chooses" a continued financial slump by not putting measures in place to bring the economy back to health.
Are they trying to say that he wasn’t already presented in a bad light?
