I see this having the opposite effect....as in turning TX even more red. That is, unless, 0bola hisseff comes down here and personally heals the stricken nurses and other HCW’s, with just one kiss.

But a narcissist won't see it that way. They are evil but stupid & his hate for Rick Perry far outweighs any logic.

The past history of the left makes me think they would do ANYTHING to hold on to power while sinking their opposition. Even deliberately spreading disease.

And yet we wonder why people in foreign nations call our (government leaders) nation THE GREAT SATAN.

IMHO, the ‘fear’ of ebola will kill more than the actual virus does.

It will at least wreak havoc on local economies, health care providers, and police departments.

If it’s not a legal challenge to the sacraments of gay marriage or unlimited abortion, our ungodly Supreme Court is not interested. They are one of the most useless outfits in D.C.

Now that was mighty quick testing. Good job!

Dallas-Fort Worth airport is one of the major hubs for American Airlines, rivaling Chicago in cross-continental connections. So if it arrives on either coast, it probably passes through here on the way to the other coast.
It is also an international hub, with flights from and to the Carribean, South America and even an UAE Emirates airline connection. So it gets international connections directly.
A third complication is that Dallas, Fort Worth and suburbs were a major dumping ground of refugees since the 1970s. The Vietnamese and Koreans integrated well. The Samoans and Tongans have their small communities. There is a large Arab and Indian community plus a smaller African one. So you get a lot of travelers to and from those nations visiting relatives.
The bigger concern is the large illegal immigrant community of Mexicans and Central Americans. They tend to live in the cheap housing alongside many poor immigrants. We have no border control or disease screening. We already have TB re-surging, measles outbreaks periodically from kids coming back from Mexico visiting family, now Enterovirus and the polio-like cousin
(hat tip Michael Savage for identifying Enterovirus-68 as coming from Central America and spreading with the Unaccompanied Minor / illegal immigrant child wave).
So we have a large, mobile and already infected population that readily moves and migrates from south of the border, a large legal immigrant population with free travel that can bring diseases in, a metropolitan area of six million people, an international airport with no screening for disease and LOTS of travelers.
If it is spreading from here, it will be on the coasts in days if not already there. And from here, it can spread both north and south as immigrants go home or find new homes - and they don’t care about the CDC unless it is for free care.

These insolent, arrogant 9 judges will someday have to face the Only True Judge and there won’t be one lawyer who can plead their cases.

Correct. There is a lot of things flying around the internet; but it seems pretty likely that the virus is pretty hard to catch.
The infected nurse was around a guy who was spewing bodily fluids as his body was coming apart.
But no one takes note that not one passenger (yet and its been awhile now) from the flights the guy took over here; has been infected.
The hospital seems to have been very foolish when this guy in. One report said he wasn’t even isolated the first day or so!
Lets hope the medical profession has learned from their mistakes and we don’t see many new cases.
I wonder why an infected person is even put in a regular hospital. There should be something offsite set up to treat them; keep them out of a huge hospital facility.

Didn’t our President make a promise to fundamentally change the US of A? Hasn’t he said before that we need to make our country more equal with the rest of the world?

What a better way to do so than to allow a pandemic to take place? Or two? (Enterovirus, TB, etc). What happens to the economy when it spreads and people are dropping like flies? Our healthcare system will save them, right???

Oh yeah...combine that with ISIS at our borders, an unstable economic condition, a lot of debt...etc..etc...etc.

I’m just glad that our elections can’t be postponed during a crisis, or can they??!!

(Yes, I’m being only a bit fescious and sarcastic..only a bit.)

We have no border control or disease screening.

I know. I live here in California - and it is clear that these open border policies and 'Sanctuary Cities' are inviting in all kinds of new diseases. Diseases that had been virtually eliminated have seen a return over these past few years: TB, Polio, measles, etc...
In a saner time immigrants had to enter this country legally and to get the required immunizations. Now we got these plagues sprouting out all over the place and our PC politicians cheer-lead the spread and pretend there is no connection to the horde of illegal invaders.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Good. The turn around for negative tests is quicker than the positive test that takes up to 2 days.
