That does not sound very smart - apparently it can take a week or more before symptoms appear. The last thing the country or the world needs is the president of the United States contracting this disease, regardless of how I feel about the job he’s doing.

Yes, misleading in two ways. First he makes himself appear courageous (me me me) and secondly gives the impression that it’s perfectly safe to have intimate contact with people who have had intimate contact with Ebola patients. Narcissistic and irresponsible.
