Tourism is definitely going up in St. Lucia. This is a brilliant move.

No, don't you see? He wants this to happen so millions will die and he can enact martial law and steal the election and our guns!
/Sarc (I shouldn't have to point that out, but the above sadly passes for rational discourse now)

And even today the incompetent CDC head Frieden reiterated there would still be no travel ban for these folks coming in from western Africa. I’m no fan of the UN but it seems the WHO is more on top of this whole situation than the CDC and at this moment I trust what they say more than Frieden and his CDC band of fools.

A primer minister working for the benefit of his own fellow countrymen? What’s the catch?

Ebola in a place like St. Lucia would be an extinction-level event.
The best hospital is very likely a third-rate version of Dallas Presbyterian, with an X-ray machine that doesn’t work.

We must get going if this article is to be believed:
“St. Lucia has given an order to bar entry to anyone coming from three West African nations struggling with Ebola epidemics.”
Get out while the getting is good and we haven’t reached epidemic stage.

Yeah, another problem is that they send patients with complicated problems to the closest U.S. territory which is where I live.

Bunch of racist crackahs in St. Lucia.
To: cll
They should also ban people from Dallas. Maybe that would WAKE UP the United States.

The best hospital is very likely a third-rate version of Dallas Presbyterian, with an X-ray machine that doesnt work. Interestingly enough I've had occasion to visit the hospital in St Lucia ( Pulled a Danish woman out of the surf who had broken her neck) and you are spot on. While waiting in the hospital I glanced out of a window set ajar and there was a cow pasture directly beneath the window with the concomitant patties - no screen on the window, so flies were visiting the cow pasture and flying directly into the hospital.
Luckily a couple of hours later they Medivac'd her out to Barbados.

Puerto Rico. I should have said, the closest U.S. territory with facilities.
