The CDC director lied? I'm shocked!

I demand to know the status of Duncan's family and the idiot judge Clay Jenkins. There is no way these people were not exposed.

“You’re body fluids still likely have the virus in them before it has replicated enough to take you down. I would guess it really maters what kind of contact you have before symptoms are present that matters...”

Absolutely correct.

Frankly I don’t believe they know if you are only contagious after showing symptoms. They are acting like they know things they don’t to instill confidence - whether it’s true or not.

Bingo. Yesterday, the CDC director allegedly said it was not necessary to cover hair or your shoes in treating a patient.

“The more cases that happen, the worse it will be for Dems at the Midterms.....this is their fault, if they cannot run the CDC properly nor give proper safety advice.”

We need to get the word out that it will be unsafe for voters in big cities to go to the polls. Everybody else will be fine.

Wonder how the Demonrats will do without the urban vote?/sarc

I notice the CDC Ebola page now has the prior “Ebola is a biohazard level 4 virus” references scrubbed...I was reading at the site about a week ago and the level 4 refs. where there, now I can’t find them

Frieden is a NYC communist democrat propagandist son of a bitch.

Ebola is THE most dangerous virus in the world and this bastard is acting like its the flu.

This is an intentional attempt by the foreign marxists in the WH to infect the USA.

Yes, they are sufficiently protected (as long as he doesn’t have to be there), AND as long as no one smokes. :o)

“RALEIGH — Republicans nationwide, including U.S. Senate candidate Thom Tillis of North Carolina, have been putting pressure on President Barack Obama to impose travel bans on the West African countries at the center of the Ebola crisis.

The President couldn’t get the barry-cades up fast enough to close down the national parks and veteran’s memorials during the sequester fight. If only he had acted as fast when American lives were at stake.

Spot on. They can do what they WANT to do, can't they?

“Yesterday, the CDC director allegedly said it was not necessary to cover hair or your shoes in treating a patient. “

He said that? OMG. That’s irresponsible. He’s an MD who did training in epidemiology/public health, and an infectious disease fellowship. None of that makes you an expert on viral transmission or biology, and certainly doesn’t qualify you as an expert on Ebola. Instead of having the CDC head giving public announcements about Ebola they should have an Ebola expert giving comments about Ebola.

Exactly! Just keep letting these infected people in! Has he appointed anybody to any position that is competent or are they all as incompetent as he is? I already know the answer to that question.

Frieden needs to step down!

The game changer will be when one (or more) cases shows up in ANOTHER metro area and repeats.

Catching Ebola is completely terrifying therefore Islamic terrorists will get into it. They now have a new use for airliners besides blowing them up.

every politician gets to meet his personal hemp rope and lamp post.

If people don't act soon, they will die of disease before they can get to them.

“I guess there will be more of these now. No escaping it.”

You’re absolutely correct....provieded IT means large numbers of people running around screaming EBOLA!....and We’re All Gonna Die!

Just last month a study was published that showed that a statistically significant portion of people who come down with Ebola do not display the ‘defining’ symptom of fever. The government has been saying that if you don’t have a fever you’re not contagious. Yeah, about that...

So far, it’s all “contained” in Dallas and Thomas Eric Duncan related. The game changer will be when one (or more) cases shows up in ANOTHER metro area and repeats. A few game changers and society (as we know it breaks down).

If there are dozens of “hot spots” you going to fly? Send you kids to school? Walk thru the mall (or even a grocery store)?

The next week to ten days may be brutally historic.

Good points.

Worse. In 2010 Obama scrapped the quarantine protocols that had been developed for this post 9/11, saying they were too draconian and would not be needed.

Also that symptomatic starts with feeling a bit off and waiting a day or so before “I need to see a doctor”.
It’s not instant “Ebola! [runs to hospital]”

According to other FR posters, yes, he did. That’s why I said allegedly since I didn’t see the show or find a transcript.

Drudge finally has the information up about the second case.
