Sarah Palin Draws a Line in the Swamp: Rob Maness Must Win Senate Race Against Cassidy, Landrieu

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee and a conservative kingmaker, is doubling her efforts in Louisiana to get retired Air Force Col. Rob Maness elected to the U.S. Senate over GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and incumbent Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA).

“Those folks in Washington should visit Louisiana like I have recently,” Palin told Breitbart News exclusively when asked what to make of the GOP establishment efforts to push Maness out of the race. “The momentum, enthusiasm, and dedication for Rob Maness is real, and I've seen it – along with a few live gators! The other candidates have spent millions on the air bashing each other with uninspiring ads."

"Rob’s hard work and his one creative gator-wrestling ad got his message out. He campaigns much like we did in Alaska – going voter to voter and door to door," she explained. "He's visited all 64 of Louisiana’s parishes in his Ford F-150. He even drove it to the event we had two weeks ago. He's had 50 town halls and is the only candidate in the race to put forward positive, conservative solutions. He is the breath of fresh air Louisianans crave, and the polling data is reflecting that."

"I’m so glad ‘The Great One’ Mark Levin agrees and has jumped on board for Col. Maness, and I hope others will follow suit!” she stated.

This is one race we still have a chance in.

Its an open general election with the conservative, GOPe candidate and Dem all on the ballot.

If no one gets over 50 percent, there’s a second round.

Support Maness in LA.

But doesn't Maness have to finish first or second?

What are the chances of that actually happening?

Let me guess. John McCain is pushing for Rep. Bill Cassidy. McCain and Palin always seem to be in support of opposing candidates.

I just knew it!! Some deluded people think Sarah influence can be ‘canceled out’ by putting McCain on the opposing team. McCain does not own her, nor will he dare to speak out against Sarah directly, because then she could feel free to cut loose, and say whatever.

So as usual the GOP will split its votes allowing the democrat to win in a close election. This is one that everybody has going GOP. Landrieu is in deep s**t and we are going to bale her out with internecine fighting. I imagine she can’t believe her good fortune. If this guy was so well loved by the people in Louisiana why he is at best third in the polls.

Here we go again. As they say it often better to be lucky than good. So when Ms. Landrieu is being sworn in as the Senator from LA. where will Ms. Palin be?

Landrieu will not get 50% +1 vote.

There will be a runoff.

Election day is merely the primary in Louisiana. There will be a runoff between the top two in December.

I am in Louisiana. I am telling everyone I know to vote for Rob Maness.

Cassidy is the worse kind of RINO. Cassidy is a joke.

If Maness wins you can bet the GOPE will fall silent and the funds dry up

There will be a runoff. Mary Landfill will not get in.

Cassidy is a GOPe Statist puke.

Maness can win this if we keep spreading the word.

Prepare to be attacked viciously. One day people will realize that FR isn’t about advancing conservatism but electing a “true conservative” that doesn’t exist and/or has no shot in Hades of actually getting elected.

It’s what 1%ers do.

You can also be assured of a new round of PDS on FR.

I agree. I think Maness should be a good sport, quit the race, support Cassidy for Senator in ‘14 and Vitter for Governor in ‘16. In return, Vitter and Cassidy endorse and support his run for Senate in ‘16.

Any Republican who isn’t emptying the clip on Landrieu deserves to have a Daisy Cutter dropped on him.

We can sort the other stuff later, no way we want a Democrat in office.

Beat Landrieu the first time. Don’t give her a chance to get up off the canvas. Have we already forgotten what happened to McDaniel v Cock-rain? At this point Maness is just a stalking horse for the bad guys.

Manes is not a conservative. He is a plant to take votes from Cassidy and give the runoff and election to Landrieu. Most of us here in Louisiana wish Palin would butt out and leave us alone. I am talking to both republic and tea partners alike who want Landrieu out we finally have a chance to do that and here comes the spoiler as she is known here in some circles. All the rest of us know that Manes has no chance of winning All if this keeps Landrieu in the senate

YES!!! Go Col. Maness. Cassidy is a phony, non-inspiring, empty suit. He is a GOP Establishment dude. Pray for Lt. Col. Rob Maness.
