Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital on Tuesday will announce the launch of the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases, a venture funded by the Romneys and their expansive political network that will assemble scores of the world's most accomplished doctors and scientists to collaborate against five neurological diseases that have no cure: multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, ALS, Parkinson's and brain tumors.
...The funding stream promised by the Romneys represents a huge boost for researchers struggling to expand their fight against some of the world's most devastating neurological diseases, said Dr. Howard L. Weiner, Ann Romney's longtime personal physician and the center's co-director...

Theory...
Mittens was portrayed as out of touch, being rich.
Here is a story of how he is using that wealth to benefit everyone - in preparation to make him more acceptable this time.
I would believe it. The media twists and distorts stories all the time, to push an agenda, or criticize those whom the media wish to criticize.
Romney’s not running for anything. We have enough real bugaboos to worry about - like Hillary or Christie.
So how soon will the FemiNazi and the LBGTXYZ brigade demand the hospital reject this money?
Yes. Oddly.
As well as the stem cell hard-liners.
I will believe he is not running when he stops his media blitz, when he stops campaigning and buying future support with his efforts and when the other RINOS quit their campaign to prepare the way for the “reluctant warrior” to enter the race.
Until then, every article like yours will be met with the truth about this RINO.
Romney’s not a Republican.
A Progressive Liberal in a cheap Republican Suit, yes.
But a tried and true Republican no.
His record belies that false idea.
And the GOP is just standing there, with its thumb in its butt, waiting to be 'had' again. So why not.
Whatta farce.
So why is everybody praising Romney for it?
Bishop Romney must give 10% of his income to the Mormon religion, or else he is ejected from the temples and cannot become a God, he not only loses his place as a Mormon in life, but he loses his standing and status in the afterlife.
It is reasonable to assume that this counts toward serving his religion.
Keep up the good philanthropic work but stay out of politics!
You ignored my post, their “charity” is mandatory and it is literally to purchase themselves a position in the religion, and in the afterlife.
They are examined to make sure they are complying and must submit to financial examination every two years, if they fall under suspicion then the examination and interviews get more involved, if they are passed, then they are issued ID verifying that they have passed examination, if they fail, then they are sent back to the ranks and forbidden entrance into the Temples and full Mormon membership.
I don’t know what kind of stem cell research they will promote at this center, but what is the latest breakthrough in the treatment of MS (I have MS) is autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). They harvest the stem cells from the patient.Destroy the immune system through chemo. Then the patient’s own stem cells are infused. In studies, and trials, it seems to stop the MS in it’s track. It is especially effective if the patient is RRMS (relapsing remittingi form), and early in the course of the disease.) Problem is the risks involved in destroying your immune system before they reset it with the harvested stem cells.
It does nothing for damage already done by the MS.

That’s a completely slanderous post!
(his suits don’t look cheap....)
