“Governors make the best presidents.”
________________________________________________
Not always. Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, FDR.....all
governors. Jeb Bush, too.
George Pataki? No thank-you.
Pataki brought the Death Penalty back to New York.
He also changed road work in metro areas to be done at night. I loved him for that.
Exactly, there’s nothing wrong with calling out the wrongs of the Democrats right now. Is what you’re saying going to piss off die hard Democrats to imply that the POTUS or your rival senate Candiate is asleep at the wheel, sure it will. But what matters more is that people show that they don’t care about offending people or winning the elections, show that you are actually seeking office to do what needs to be done, and more, for that office. Ted Cruz seems the boldest of the potential Presidential contenders right now, and that is just sad, because it should be more than that now.
Any “Republican” politician that has to add a modifier such as “human face” or “compassionate” is an idiot. Conservatism needs no modifier, as leftism is the very definition of inhuman and evil.
I would certainly trade Clinton for Obama but that’s not saying much.
It isn’t fiction. It really happened. I’m sure someone will look up all the gory details on the web.
Who?
2nd, I’m shocked you put this guy out there.
Let me tell you, I haven’t been enthused in voting for President for a long long time, since Reagan at least.
Let’s go back in history.
I was not excited about Romney but I was enthused to vote against Obola again.
McCain, come on, had he not brought on the fresh face outsider of Sarah Palin he would have been Mondaled.
I wasn’t too excited about Bush, although I like and respect him and really like Cheney, there is no way in hell I could vote for Kerry. I hate traitors and liars.
I voted Bush because Gore is/was looney tunes.
I was not excited about Bob Dole.
Although I liked Perot’s theories on Nafta and the budget cuts, I couldn’t throw my vote to a 3rd candidate who I thought had no chance.
Which brings us back to Reagan. As a Texan, I so hope Cruz runs and wins. I just dread who we’ll pick here in Texas to replace him. I can’t believe here in a large state like Texas we couldn’t find someone similar to Cruz to replace Cornyn. Sure I’ll vote for Cornyn but not because of any enthusiasim nor am I excited about it.
It’s almost like voting any more (except for Ted) has been quite depressing for years.
Ted gets me excited and enthused. I just absolutely dread the mess he’ll have to address after Obola.
Oh, did you think I’m a Pataki supporter? Did you not read my comments? Have you not seen any of my posts and threads for the last umpteen years?
sorry dude, I know who you are for. I know you are on the same team. I was just surprised you posted anything about a NE cough cough Republican
I post all kinds of articles for discussion. Many times I am opposed to the idea behind them.
Good.
Pataki, Romney, Jebbie Bush, Doughnut Boy, Grahamnesty—let the squishes all jump in.
Then, representing the conservatives—Ted Cruz.
Let’s see how the vote would split up under this arrangement for a change.
2nd, have you found it kind of strange that Rick Perry hasn’t chimed in on the Obola or E-D68 virus yet.

hey thanks I’m about to read them.
So now we are going to let the Fabian Socialists at the London School of Economics pick our candidate? Boggles the mind.
Pataki sold out, among others, the NRA big time.
There were lots of “Protect freedom; vote Pataki” bumper stickers when he ran.
Then, upon election, he signed the worst gun control (esp. “assault weapon”) laws in NY since the Sullivan Law.
He’s the reason I hesitate to support Republicans outright: nobody gets the Left’s agenda passed faster than a RINO.
