Its very different here in that it is a parliamentary system, so not necessarily winner takes all......and to be honest, our ‘Conservative Party’ makes your Rinos look like the Tea Party!

We can’t take anymore, we have a real leader to rally behind and the foundation of a Party he can possibly sweep to power going forward.

UKIP are only 6% behind in the latest polls, with months to go, more by elections and a leaders debate, all bets are off.....now nobody is saying UKIP can win, but it could be a platform for a victory further down the line.

I am not willing to give my vote to phoney conservatives, I DESPISE them and their liberal establishment agenda. It is ripping the fabric of the UK to pieces.

Yes,I think I understand your system.A general election occurs. In a particular constituency there might be a half dozen candidates...Tory,Conservative,Lib Dem and the Monster raving Looney Party. If the result is Labour 35%,Tory34%,Lib Dem 25% and minor parties get the rest then Labour wins that seat.Multiply this process by approx 600 seats.Once seated these MP's then vote for the individual they want to be PM...usually (always?) the "leader" of their Party.

But the question is...from which Party would Farage take the most votes? He seems to be somewhat "right wing",perhaps even more so than the typical Tory candidate. If I'm correct to believe that it would appear that he'd take more votes (perhaps many more votes) from the Tories, just as Ross Perot took far more votes from Bush than from Clinton.Result? Prime Minister Milliband.Or am I missing something here?

Yes,I can see where some might see Cameron as too "liberal" but wouldn't it be better to try to correct that *within* the Party once elected? Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that next June one of two men will be PM...Red Ed or Cameron...and Farage doesn't have a prayer of achieving anything meaningful except handing Milliband the keys *or* entering into a coalition with Cameron.

And the ukip then would be equivalent to our tea party?

And they’re only 6% behind the leading (in numbers, not ability) bunch?

This is a turning point...

Same here, UKRepublican, totally agree with you!
