No, wait, let me rephrase: I would be 90 percent sure this is a hoax, if not for the fact that the school superintendent confirmed on a local radio show that these materials were handed out to teachers at one Lincoln-area middle school. Repeat: Middle school.
Oh well. High time America’s 10-year-olds started considering whether they’re cis or trans.
The recommendations about intervening when an androgynous child is being bullied are fine, but c’mon. This isn’t real, is it?

How many transgendered middle-schoolers does Lincoln have that a solution this comprehensive is needed? If you want to teach sensitivity to “gender difference,” just devote a class hour to it. The sort of sustained Orwellian campaign they’re describing to treat kids’ use of binary gender terms as a thoughtcrime in need of constant correction is odd. Frankly, if I were the parent of a kid who’s androgynous and worried about him being bullied, I think I’d prefer less attention to this issue in class than more attention. Younger children might not perceive an androgynous classmate as different to the same degree that pubescent kids would; spending too much time emphasizing that some people aren’t really girls or boys might give the bullies more reason to see a girlish-looking boy as something strange.
Oh well. The school board is meeting to discuss it on October 14th. Can’t wait.

Any parent who still has their children in public schools, anywhere, in any state is committing child abuse.
If you disagree with the above statement you need to pay more attention to what goes on in public schools.

So, we can’t say boys and girls to school children anymore, because to do so offends the sensibilities of liberals who oppose the “binary” way of thinking about sex and gender.
Can I ask why any of this needs to be discussed in school in the first place? Too many schools are failing at the basic tasks of reading writing and arithmetic. Not to mention history and values.
But we have to be aware that liberals believe there are 56,different gender possibilities, and bend over backwards to teach this in school.
I can’t believe that events such as this occur and I am shocked. Just when you thought you had heard the most inane liberal idea, another more inane idea comes along.
And these ideas come from people with masters degrees and doctorates, theoretically the best educated people in our country.
The kids need to reply to the “teacher”, What did your shrink tell you to call us?
Question: how do we now teach basic reproductive biology and genetics, where, for example, we examine the various gonads on frogs or discuss heredity in peas? Or do we now ignore those parts of the biology curriculum as politically incorrect?
