Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown told the New York Times that the best and only place for Democrats to deploy President Barack Obama heading into the midterm elections is with black voters.
"I'd have Obama on an evangelistic schedule of black churches all over the country," said Brown. "I think he really should go to the black base. I don't think there's any other place I would trust he wouldn't create an adverse reaction rather than a positive reaction."

In these days when politics is tainted by "The Johnson Amendment" one wonders what would be the outcry if someone had suggested that Bush undertake "an evangelistic schedule of white churches all over the country."
One wonders, but one can be fairly certain, nonetheless, what the outcry would be.
