They Are Coming for Your Children [ Connecticut ]
National Review ^ | October 7, 2014 | Kevin D. Williamson

Posted on 10/07/2014 9:37:20 PM PDT by george76

Home-schoolers represent the only authentically radical social movement in the United States (Occupy Wall Street was a fashion statement) and so they must be suppressed, as a malevolent committee of leftist academics and union bosses under the direction of Governor Dannel Malloy is preparing to do in Connecticut, using the Sandy Hook massacre as a pretext. The ghouls invariably rush to the podium after every school massacre, issuing their insipid press releases before the bodies have even cooled, and normally they’re after your guns. But the Malloy gang is after your children.

Malloy’s committee on the Newtown shootings is recommending that Connecticut require home-schooling families to present their children to the local authorities periodically for inspection

...

If you have not followed the issue closely, it is probably impossible for you to understand how intensely the Left and the government-school monopoly hate, loathe, and distrust home-schooling and home-school families

...

The Left’s model of society is still the model of Marx and Bismarck: one big factory to be managed by experts. The government schools are an assembly line for human widgets, who are in theory there to be taught what the state requires them to know in order to fulfill their roles as workers, administrators, and other bits of human machinery. That is the assumption behind President Obama’s insistence that “if you quit on school, you’re not just quitting on yourself — you’re quitting on your country.” Students are also there to be instructed in the official, unspoken state ideology: submission to official power.

We knew they’d start hitting homeschoolers eventually. Be prepared for an all out assault in these last years of Obola

Well, I sure don’t see the connection between home schooling and a school shooting. I guess I’m just not liberal enough to understand.

Yeah I was wondering about that. The murderer went to the school, didn’t he? He had a beef with a teacher there, yeah?

Minds have to be controlled from cradle to grave for people to keep people accepting socialist mediocrity. The bigger government gets, the more it has to fear from independent minded citizens.

Our local high school asked us to let our 14 year old play for their baseball team this year, and we said yes. That is as close as he will ever get to a public school.

The thing to understand is that there doesn’t need to be a logical connection between a crisis event and advancing the left’s agenda.

In fact the more absurd the more they push it.

The left would have no power if the voters didn’t give it to them. And if the voters sit on their hands concerning this issue then let Social Darwinism take its course and take a star off of the flag.

Granted the headline on NR is a grabber and homeschooling is somewhat innovative. I have to fault the author for lack of defining homeschools as a truly radical movement in the US. It seems to me he could have done a little more research.

Putting the Occupy movement within the extra long run on sentence is rather off-putting .

If homeschoolers is the most radical then what else is out there.

You don’t have to see the connection.
It’s Agenda 21 in Newtown from the very beginning.

You should research newtown and agenda 21 and see how the entire state of CT is corrupt from top to bottom.

Remember seeing Obala in that big chair at the UN justrecently? obala’s work is not yet done with the USA and that was a visual pre-cursor. practically every state in the union is being affected by the creeping crud of Agenda21.

Simple connection:
Get children out of homes and into schools so there are large numbers of children in one place.

Killers can kill and injure large numbers of children.

Leftists can use the killings as a platform to take our guns.

We have large groups of public (non) education robots and no guns to resist.

As always AH Malloy(Obama Clone)has it backwards.

So afraid you are right.

There is a huge amount of pent-up anxiety and anger among parents, both homeschoolers and not, with regard to education right now.

Everyone I know, regardless of party or philosophy, wants to get rid of Common Core.

I was at a meeting of homeschoolers today, and it was one of the topics everyone kept going back to. We're all concerned that we'll be forced into Common Core testing. Friends with children in public schools post their concerns about Common Core on their Facebook pages.

If the RINOs and GOP-e gather with the Democrats on this or other education issues, they are just throwing votes in the garbage.

"...fault the author for lack of defining homeschools as a truly radical movement in the US."

I think he means "radical" as in counter-cultural.
Home-schooling is the most counter-cultural activity an American can engage in, (guns ownership is still mainstream, thank God) - and the Libtards hate us for it.

Yes they are after your children, I understand why they want to do this.

You see, they fear that in the home, children will not be properly exposed to sodomites where they can be taught healthy acceptance and pursuit of the sodomite life style.

It is unconscionable a parent would rob there child of such socialization in a loving and caring environment, that can only be experienced in government school.
