Damn! Free Republic is full of control freaks. Your extreme law and order type is not all that different from a Marxist. It is just their motivation that is different. That and the Marxist is a much better liar and usually only cares about power while the control freak wants power to “save others.”
Actually I’m as far away from a marxist as you can possibly imagine. I just don’t like people dumping the consequences of their decisions and actions on me.
It’s freedom WITH responsibility that I favor. You on the other hand seem to want to let people do whatever the hell they want and pass the consequences to the rest of society. No thanks.
People want to do dope fine. But don’t expect me to pay for their rehab, or unemployment, or whatever else they get themselves into.
Is that so hard to understand?
