Kansas Surprise: Orman Leads Roberts by 10 in NBC/Marist Poll [No Republican Senate?]

Kansas Surprise: Orman Leads Roberts by 10 in NBC/Marist Poll BY CARRIE DANN

Independent candidate Greg Orman is leading incumbent Republican Sen. Pat Roberts in Kansas by 10 points, while Democrats have a slim lead in North Carolina’s contest and both candidates are in a dead heat in Iowa’s Senate race, new NBC News/Marist polls find.

The Kansas poll, which shows Roberts trailing 38 percent to Orman’s 48 percent, is full of bad news for the incumbent and for Republicans, who have suddenly seen Roberts’ sleepy re-election race turn into a very real pickup opportunity for Democrats if Orman decides to caucus with them.

“He’s in a great deal of trouble out there,” Marist pollster Lee Miringoff said of Roberts. “He’s got high negatives, his intensity of support is low, he’s losing independents by more than two to one. His to-do list is rather large in the remaining time before Election Day.”

In the North Carolina Senate contest, Democrat Kay Hagan has a slight advantage over Republican Thom Tillis – 44 percent to 40 percent among likely voters, while the Iowa Senate race between Republican Joni Ernst and Democrat Bruce Braley remains neck and neck, 46 percent to 44 percent.

Republicans can boast of having the strongest candidate out of the three state polls: Incumbent Gov. Terry Branstad, who’s up by 22 points over Democrat Jack Hatch.

The Democrats should thank Karl Rove if they retain control of the Senate.

He succeeded in nominating incredibly weak candidates for seats the GOP should be able to win outright.

Like the old saying has it, no good deed goes unpunished.

The CBS poll shows the race tied. So, which one are you going to believe? My advice, neither. I think that the polls are baloney, but Roberts is certainly in trouble. The problem is, he is doing very little about it. He apparently doesn’t like to campaign and can’t be made to do it.

The result is likely to be a win by a flaming liberal who claims to be an Independent.

Too bad it isn’t the mentally enfeebled Cochran that’s in serious trouble.

Marquette has Walker up +5, while another poll has Burke up by +5. Marquette is using the Recall numbers, the other poll is using the 2012 Presidential turnout model. Average that out and Burke is +1 right now in Wisconsin. Not good.

Good news for the establishment.

They may lose the Senate seat, but they were successful in defeating the conservative.

That’s what really counts!

Good job, RINO’s.

These last few weeks we have to get out the vote. We have to admit we won’t be happy WITH the Republicans, but we AREN’T happy with the Democrats, and hustle those sitting on their butts to get out, and vote Republican, because ya don’t vote ya give it to a Democrat.

I think Karl Rove and the Gopes have been working consciously for the Democrats for a long time, ever since the Democrat Party staged a friendly takeover of the Republican Party and made it a Subdivision, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary. The Gope management invited bids and the Democrat Party was the only bidder.

And the MSM never lies or creates a poll to push their agenda. Anything to dismay their opposition.

The LSM is a Democrat arm. I would not expect them to be any more truthful than 0bama.

Having been betrayed by Republicans for the past twenty years, I would like nothing better than to see the House and Senate both go to the Democrats this election cycle. I’ll probably get only half my wish, but that will be satisfaction enough for the time being.

I can't believe this is going to happen again

They're just so arrogant. The RINO globalist elitist backstabbing ptb saw a few surveys that they were going to take the US Senate.

So what did they do? They've been talking down to us. They've trotted out JebBush, Romney and Christie as the premier candidates for the nomination. They've been tone deaf to how disgusted we are about the disgusting primary campaign against McDaniel in MS. They've announced that if they get control of the Senate there won't be any budget pushback for the next two years.

I could see a state with a half way decent Independent candidate voting for that person. People are sick of both political parties.

How could this be? This is supposed to be a wave election for the GOPe’s.

If this poll is true, the only wave developing is a desperation wave.
