I wasn’t aware that 20% of Liberians are Muslim. There’s an article from the Washington Post linked on Drudge about an interview with the ebola patient’s stepdaughter. According to the article she was covering her head with a scarf. Indoors. In her own house. Who wears a scarf indoors?

A Liberian doctor is 13 for 15 using lamivudine,which is normally used to treat HIV and hepatitis-B. The two losses received the drug later in their illness than the survivors.

Lamivudine is old enough that it is off patent.

Those are scary numbers. I have to wonder how they did the survey, if they used a test that would have been less understood in a native culture and thereby influence the results. I’m hoping that somehow these numbers are flawed!

I have to imagine there's a tremendous link between cultural traits and child rearing. Where some poorer nations are perfectly capable of providing enough exposure and education to enlighten a child and help develop their potential IQ, others are exactly the nightmare we fear them to be. In nations where one of the biggest threats to newborns is being raped to cure AIDs, I have to suspect this is more accurate than not.

I do not have a clue except one. My one clue is the meeting allegedly taking place today between obolo and the cdc director. If information is being kept away from the public, I too wonder why and what is the angle unless decisions are about to be made as to help with the spread of this disease? Now would the elites be participants in such a scenario? Nearly all the clues say 'yes'. Yes, do not stop the flights. Yes, do not close the border. Yes, disperse those arriving around the country.
