The hackers are thought to be operating from Russia and appear to have at least loose connections with officials of the Russian government, the people briefed on the matter said.
Some American officials speculate that the breach was intended to send a message to Wall Street and the United States about the vulnerability of the digital network of one of the world’s most important banking institutions.
“It could be in retaliation for the sanctions” placed on Russia, one senior official briefed on the intelligence said. “But it could be mixed motives — to steal if they can, or to sell whatever information they could glean.”

Since 1962 when Nikita Kruchev, (the Supreme leader of Russian communism), stated to America “we will destroy you from within”, we have been on the fast track to becoming a communist nation, with no resistance from “We The People”.
The Russians have a great deal more experience than we, and know how to take advantage of the weaknesses of communism, yet we sit and continue to allow communism to bully us, from the White House, the Congress, the Supreme Court and communist countries abroad.
“We The People” have failed to uphold our mandate to overthrow our corrupt, lawless, criminal government, then complain and whine how it is not our fault, these terrible things consistently happen to our nation all the time.

I would ask, “when will we wake up?”, but WE are awake here, and, that is trite, and our side, Cruz, et al, is awake and aware, but our 0bola is on THEIR side...yes, he’s awake, as is Jarret, and this detriment to our nation’s sovereignty and financial standing is a good thing to them.
This isn’t the Cold War. Russia is our friend. Obama told us so.

Overreact much? We don’t even know for sure who did this. And how are a bunch of drunken Russians able to defeat our best cyber security experts? The Chinese maybe but Russians? Sounds fishy.
Russia has a population of, around, 140 million. I’m pretty sure they can find quite a few sober people with intelligence.
Russia has numerous standouts in mathematics and other scienctific fields.
This is being done on a wide scale and nobody seems to care. If anything can destroy our financial markets quickly, this is it. Yes - our own users of technology have been far too slow to respond themselves, but the notion that people are sitting around the goals of thievery, malice, disruption, and chaos as their chief goals is a threat to our entire system. We should have taken action years ago (Bush years).
