America has now recorded its first confirmed case of the deadly Ebola virus, brought to this country by a traveler who arrived unscreened from the African country of Liberia, a known Ebola hotspot.
Thomas Eric Duncan traveled from Liberia, to Dulles International Airport outside of Washington, D.C. and then on to Dallas, Texas where he began to present symptoms of the deadly disease.
Liberia is one of the hotspots in a large outbreak of Ebola in West Africa, with 3,458 cases and 1,830 deaths as of September 23, according to the World Health Organization. Other countries affected include Guinea, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. In total, more than 3,000 people have died in those countries from Ebola, and more than 6,500 have contracted the disease, according to reporting by CNN.
Astonishingly, when Mr. Duncan went to the emergency room in Dallas last week, he was released from the hospital even though he told staff he had traveled from Liberia.
Now here’s the key point: Thomas Eric Duncan is a 42-year-old Liberian national, according to CNN. This is Duncan's first trip to the United States, where he was visiting family and friends.
As a foreign national Mr. Duncan has no right to be in the United States, he’s here because we, or rather the Obama administration, let him into the country.
A number of other countries, including other African nations, have closed their borders to Ebola hotspots like Liberia, but Duncan was allowed to enter the United States by President Barack Obama’s open borders policy.
So now, through Obama’s open borders policy, not only has Mr. Duncan’s arrival exposed hundreds of Americans to Ebola, the good people of Dallas, Texas are now on the hook for his treatment as well.
The media have also been awash in reports of a strange new viral infection that has swept schools coast to coast – a wave of illness that sickened hundreds of children, paralyzed at least 11 kids in Colorado, Michigan, Massachusetts and the San Francisco Bay area and now has killed at least four people, including a child in Rhode Island.
Enterovirus D68 is not uncommon in Central America, but has suddenly been sending children in the United States to the hospital with severe respiratory illnesses. It seems to be most affecting children with a history of asthma or breathing problems.
As of Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control had confirmed 500 people in 42 states have respiratory illnesses caused by enterovirus D68.
Ebola. Chikungunya. Dengue. Norovirus. Hantavirus. Swine flu. Varicella. Variola. The names sound like something out of a Sci-Fi movie wrote Elizabeth Lee Vliet, M.D. in The Christian Post. “Yet, threats to Americans are real, and escalating by the week. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported on August 1 that serious diseases are spreading at detention centers for Illegal border crossers. Health care workers and Border Patrol agents, plus their children, have tested positive for tuberculosis (TB), swine flu, chicken pox, lice and scabies. Instead of being quarantined, illegal border crossers are being dispersed rapidly across the U.S., with those of school age being registered in public schools opening soon for all.”
Oddly enough, the outbreak of the enterovirus D68 epidemic that has now killed at least four people and paralyzed at least 11 children (and counting) coincided with the arrival, and placement in American schools, of some 36,000+ illegal alien children – few of whom received any health screening and who were in fact mandated to be accepted without health screening by the Obama administration.
As our friends at Judicial Watch observed, the administration has worked hard to keep information about the public health threat caused by the Obama open borders policy a secret, though some of it is slowly leaking out. And it is leaking out, we believe, in large measure because the Obama administration can no longer cover-up the body count, especially among children, that is the inevitable result of opening our borders and then intentionally dispersing public health threats throughout the country.

I’m not a tin hat type, I do find it a bit interesting it hits Dallas. Not some other cities. Only taking note should something further develop that could cause suspicion. Again, probably nothing to it.
An aside - I wonder if Mr Duncan planned on going home after his visit.

They need to be more accurate. He traveled from Brussels to Dulles airport. He did that because he had a visa and the 13,500 visas are the problem not the air travel. Brussels lets anyone travel there and there's nothing we can do about that. But without a visa he would not be let on the plane for Dulles.
Why mess around? Let's just call him President Ebola from now on. It will be his legacy.
Good suggestion! I do not think America has the stomach for conflict. If the people were not cowed into silence by the media and their double standard treatment of Zimmerman, Ferguson, and Abu Jamal, who will deliver a taped message to a college, the people would roar and stand up in defiance of the usurper and his criminal administration.

I'm not speaking of BHO himself, for whom Obola does indeed work just fine, but of those like this Duncan character who know they have been exposed to ebola but choose not to self-quarantine, thus spreading the disease. They need a name, too. It is them I suggest referring to as Ebola Barrys.

The Ebola has a 21 days incubation period before the infested person show symptoms. The CDC maintains that a person infested with Ebola cannot transmit it until they show symptoms of the disease. How can they assure that the person cannot infest another person after 10, 15, or 19 days of being infested by the virus while still not showing symptoms of the virus? The CDC falsely assure the American people that it cannot be transmitted by air although studies in Canada seems to prove otherwise.
When news broke that the Ebola virus had resurfaced in Uganda, investigators in Canada were making headlines of their own with research indicating the deadly virus may spread between species, through the air. The team, comprised of researchers from the National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease, the University of Manitoba, and the Public Health Agency of Canada, observed transmission of Ebola from pigs to monkeys.
They first inoculated a number of piglets with the Zaire strain of the Ebola virus. Ebola-Zaire is the deadliest strain, with mortality rates up to 90 percent. The piglets were then placed in a room with four cynomolgus macaques, a species of monkey commonly used in laboratories. The animals were separated by wire cages to prevent direct contact between the species. Within a few days, the inoculated piglets showed clinical signs of infection indicative of Ebola infection.
In pigs, Ebola generally causes respiratory illness and increased temperature. Nine days after infection, all piglets appeared to have recovered from the disease. Within eight days of exposure, two of the four monkeys showed signs of Ebola infection. Four days later, the remaining two monkeys were sick too. It is possible that the first two monkeys infected the other two, but transmission between non-human primates has never before been observed in a lab setting.
While the study provided evidence that transmission of Ebola between species is possible, researchers still cannot say for certain how that transmission actually occurred. There are three likely candidates for the route of transmission: airborne, droplet, or fomites.
Airborne and droplet transmission both technically travel through the air to infect others; the difference lies in the size of the infective particles. Smaller droplets persist in the air longer and are able to travel farther- these droplets are truly “airborne.” Larger droplets can neither travel as far nor persist for very long.
What do these findings mean? First and foremost, Ebola is not suddenly an airborne disease.
