At least 35,000 walruses have beached themselves on a remote Alaskan coastline in a phenomenon blamed on the melting of arctic ice due to climate change, experts said Wednesday.
Initially there had been only 1,500 of the tusked pinnipeds counted on one beach, but in recent days that number has exploded.
"Our best estimate is almost a 24-fold increase," said Megan Ferguson of the Aerial Surveys of Arctic Marine Mammals.

It just isn't normal for so many walruses (walrusii? walrii?) to herd together in a single place. They must have been driven there by overpopulation and starvation in other walrus locales. Clearly it's a walrus overpopulation issue! The UN, together with the ASPCA, should enact a strict walrus sterilization program to save them, before the planet can no longer sustain their growing numbers!
How do they know why the Walruses are there? Did somebody ask them?

The migration between the ice and the beach can be long-distance and dramatic. In late spring and summer, for example, several hundred thousand Pacific walruses migrate from the Bering Sea into the Chukchi Sea through the relatively narrow Bering Strait.[27]

The Democrat Congressman from Georgia wishes to know, How many walruses will it take before the continent flips over or sinks. PETA should be alerted.
Just because some dumb ass writes it does not make it the truth. This was mentioned earlier and it is a “haul out”, walrus do it all the time and they know it.
Either that or due to global warming the water is getting too hot even for the walrus. (Hmmmmm? I wonder what boiled walrus tastes like)
Zoologists have already debunked the globull warming BS. Huge herds of walrus have been observed on the beaches for many years.
Clusters of large numbers of walruses / Tea Party members = bad.
