KELLY: Yeah, I think that some people are. But what we often see within families, and especially families that have folks that are mentally ill, when there are guns involved, that it’s a pretty common sense thing to do, to try to at least temporarily, before you can get a person adjudicated, as mentally ill to just try to get, you know to try to protect the family and others from gun violence. I know the bill was just signed into law today but it does seem like it was a pretty reasonable thing to do.

Mark Kelly is an opportunist, he was probably jumping for joy when his wife was shot so he could use it to his own advantage, get a name for himself. After all, who knew the name of that moron before Giffords was shot, NO ONE. So what is Kelly saying, that Sarah Palin and that shooter knew each other, they both conspired to go on a shooting rampage that day? Is that what he is saying..and oh yeah, if Giffords was SO terrified of that map, how come she had ZERO security that day, ZERO..if Mark Kelly wants to blame anyone for what happened, he needs to take his wife and have her look in the mirror

It appeared to me that Alan Colmes was TRYING to get Mr. Giffords to blame Sarah Palin, but that he refused to take the bait - twice.
Calling a particular action “insensitive” is a lot different from saying, or even implying, that said act is the cause of, or led to, something else.
The whole shooting event was the deliberate assassination of a judge that was making life difficult for the Obama admin.
Giffords was collateral damage.
