Why the CDC Won't Release the Ebola Patient's Flight Itinerary

The flight information for the Ebola patient diagnosed in Texas will not be released by health officials because "It's just not necessary," a spokesperson at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told ABC News.

"If we need to contact passengers we have a way. We'd call ourselves," the CDC spokesperson said.

You're right. But the exalted Gods of the CDC are 'citizens of the world'... and it's NOT PC to make 'the world' look bad...

The advantage of 'being a God' is that YOU get to make the call for the lesser beings because they're just not as sophisticated as doctors... Yes, citizesn might PANIC.

Yes, might jump up and down and be frightened.

(That's the biggest fears liberals have... that someone will 'panic'.) And what will happen if someone 'panics'? Nothing. I suspect CDC doctors have seen to many bullshit Hollywood movies. Because research shows us the opposite is true. In a really bad situation most people start moving slowing and NOT panicking. There's more danger in getting them to wake up and START moving...

But the CDC doctors are the Gods... who are we mere mortals to question them...

The flight to Tx could be the real difficult one to pin down. If the layover was in Brussels, then an early flight to the US and a late flight to TX makes sense. The main carrier into Dallas is American, but it could be anyone of several airlines.

no matter how developed, secure, etc the protocols are, some of the people involved in them (see e.g. Presbyterian ER) aren’t doing their jobs.

And that’s exactly why I have been skeptical of the Declarations that it won’t be a problem here, and that any hospital can handle the cases in their normal isolation rooms.

I have had family members in the hospital under isolation measures in private rooms several times in the past, and NONE of the hospital staff observed the procedures 100%.

P.S. In one respect, it's good the first case happened in Dallas. If it was in the Northeast, the PC meme would be not to quarantine, not to create panic, probably tell the exposed people to just go home and go about your business, protect their civil rights, ACLU on call and involved, race card, hospitals being sued, doctors being sued, just check your temperature, wouldn't have quarantined the ambulance, would not have their Governor putting the clamps on this, etc. Texas one of the 13 states that has prepared for this.

Well, we’re about to find out exactly how ‘on the ball’ these guys really are. If one of those five kids gets sick, if other people start to get sick within the next three weeks, we’ll know.

If there are no new cases and if the man’s associates are all fine, then the CDC will get a head-nod.

What’s to stop them from deliberately contracting Ebola, waiting until the symptoms develop and THEN blowing themselves up in the middle of a crowd?

Something horribler? I don’t think that is a word but I have already asked someone what is to prevent one of these nutcases from intentionally becoming infected with Ebola, waiting until the symptoms become obvious and then, to avoid a slow and painful death, simply strapping on a bomb and blowing himself up in a crowded place. Infected blood and every other kind of bodily fluid and filth sprayed over a crowd and there you have it, a major outbreak of Ebola.
