The sister of the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the United States says he told relatives he notified officials the first time he went to the hospital that he was visiting from Liberia.

Mai Wureh says her brother, Thomas Eric Duncan, went to a Dallas emergency room on Friday and they sent him home with antibiotics. She says he said hospital officials asked for his Social Security number and he said that he didn't have one because he was visiting from Liberia.

That’s why he should have been quarantined, anybody arriving from the infected countries should be.

FEDGOV NOT PROTECTING US CITIZENS.

The incompetence is completely out of control.

Military needs to step in NOW.

Government knows this too..

Why is government not immediately servery restricting flights from the African continent and to all those passengers who’s flights originated from Africa?

This is quickly reaching the criminal level IMO.

Here’s a better question:

Why are we even allowing Liberians, Nigerians, or any other group of people from where there are CONFIRMED cases of ebola on planes at all?

I wonder if his “American” relatives are here legally. Will anyone investigate that?

"Why is government not immediately servery restricting flights from the African continent and to all those passengers who’s flights originated from Africa?"

Because the Destruction of Western Civilization is Leftist's and Islamist's GOAL.

An Ebola pandemic helps them. They LIKE Ebola.

I hear that having sex with a virgin will cure you.

JUST KIDDING!!!! THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!

But it is what many Africans think about AIDS. How long before thousands of young girls in Africa are infected by the same illogic?

Frieden said he did not believe anyone on the same flights as the patient was at risk.

Flights. As in more than one plane full of passengers headed to the four corners of the world. It's like pulling teeth with these people. First they acted like it was one direct flight which anyone with more than two brain cells knows isn't correct and they're just now admitting there was more than one plane which means more than one airport which means more toilet seats and more used food napkins and countless more people he came in contact with.

And those kids who they once claimed weren't in school are now students in 4 schools.

I'm still waiting to hear about that doctor they admitted to Bethesda on Saturday after he had been "monitored" for a few days.

Hi, I'm from the government, trust me I'm here to help.

"...we keep things nice and politically correct by not offending black people by investigating where they came from (Liberia, HELLO RED FLAG???!!!!!)"

First sentence in the article:
"...he told relatives he notified officials the first time he went to the hospital that he was visiting from Liberia."

Medical racket officials obviously didn't want to hear it. "they sent him home with antibiotics" as part of the routine to keep costs down for the more worthy patients (mostly government employees and government-linked business folks).

Before long, hospitals might be attractive places to go indeed.

why he said he was from Liberia when he wasn’t:

“On Friday, President Barack Obama announced the federal government will not deport Liberian nationals who overstayed their visas back to their country, which has been ravaged by Ebola.”

I would just say that they were probably not informed. FR has followed this outbreak but the American people seem to think that the only important things are that which the media deems important.

Most people have never heard of Ebola, nor do they know where Liberia is situated on a map.

The 2 people I talked to today hadn’t heard anything until today. My husband knows about it only because I keep him informed.

My husband wouldn’t believe half of what I told him from reading FR.

He used to say you can’t believe it just because it’s an internet blog. (eyeroll)

Of course when he heard the same thing on a gun forum or a couple of years later from MSM it was a different story.

He finally believes me-7 years after I joined FR

Oy

"Military needs to step in NOW."

Nope, nope, many were allowed to rant that the military is too worthless and incompetent to handle an outbreak. IMO, the military folks should take a vacation and leave the political/regulator class that hates them so much to deal with it.

[Just this morning, there was a local radio report from an "upscale" resort area about a thief. As with so many other sponsored news reports, he was reported very loudly and clearly to have been a Marine.]

There are a bunch from that family in Dallas via Limba and Monrovia, Liberia. There’s a younger Eric Duncan and a Wayne Peterson and the list goes on. It’s no wonder the Liberian community is antsy.

I was talking to a guy who’s wife does research at a major hospital what he was hearing and all he did was laugh and laugh and laugh. He didn’t believe it was here which means the wife doesn’t either.

What about mosquitos tranferring it? They transfer every other horrid disease. The powers that be swore chikungunya virus wouldn’t get very far into the US because it likes warmer countries like Mexico and points south. The mosquito that infected a person in Maryland must not have got the text.

If you watched Jon Stewart at least you’d know about it.

I don’t know, I think some people don’t even listen to the radio news for 5 minutes once or twice a day.

A week or 2 ago a man was killed by a bear here in NJ, just a guy out hiking, it was the first fatal bear attack in 150 years so it was news.

A gal I work with, perfectly smart, young but married with a kid, had NO IDEA what I was talking about when I mentioned it a few weeks later. And we were talking about how close to humans bears in north jersey (where she lives with her wee child) are getting.

So, you know, what can I say, between the low info, the no info and the wrong info, it’s amazing the who shebang hasn’t collapsed already.
