Hiring un-needed, incompetent Affirmative Action employees to placate the EEOC played a big part in destroying the 100 year old company where I was employed.

Point well taken. Affirmative Action is a driving force behind numerous promotions in the private sector (and of course in local government). My last company suffered because of it. The rush to promote minorities was obvious, and damaging to company operations but once the PC train started down the tracks there was no calling it back.

The fight for access to public information has never been harder, Associated Press Washington Bureau Chief Sally Buzbee said recently at a joint meeting of the American Society of News Editors, the Associated Press Media Editors and the Associated Press Photo Managers. The problem extends across the entire federal government and is now trickling down to state and local governments.
