Activists say ISIS militants have beheaded nine Kurdish fighters, including three women, captured in clashes near the Syria-Turkey border.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Wednesday that the nine Kurds were captured during fighting over the northern Syrian town of Kobani, also known as Ayn Arab.
There have been fierce clashes around Kobani since mid-September, when ISIS launched an assault to seize the area.
The Observatory also says that dozens of militants and Kurdish fighters were killed in clashes overnight.

Well, it just makes more sense. These Muzzies are going to kill them anyway. Just take as many of them with you as possible. I saw a Muzzie propaganda film, where it showed 3 or 4 guys digging their own graves with big shovels. They kept digging, instead of smashing the guy with the shovel. OK, so they will get shot. They ended up getting shot anyway, but they were on their knees and not their feet.
Yeah, seems better to die quickly than to be tortured by those pigs.
I will never understand how people freeze in the face of evil and just “surrender” to die from torture or worse.

In a fight everything is a weapon and should be applied as needed. Ya, that grave digging detail thing is a real nonstarter. Hey, if you give me a weapon don’t be surprised when I use it against you. People don't always have a choice. Modern war is full of concussive weapons that can deprive you of consciousness without killing you. Also, once out of ammo, you have limited options of avoiding being taken alive.
But your point is well taken, no thinking person would ever surrender to these animals.

You make good points too. There certainly are no easy answers to any of this. It just stuck in my mind, these guys digging their own graves. It was a bit traumatizing to see that.

You don’t have the right mindset.
In this situation you have three choices:
1) Do nothing, surrender - probability of being killed 100% (bad option)
2) Fight like hell take a few of them with you - probability of being killed 99% (sort of a bad option depending on your mindset)
3) Run like hell, to fight another day - probability of getting killed 75%? (best of a bad set of options)

It defies belief that ANYONE confronted by these savages would ever give up. They KNOW what’s going to happen to them if they do: for the men, torture, humiliation and then a made-for-Youtube murder. For the women, rape (at ‘best’). These vicious scumbags are sawing off heads on British streets and American factory floors, for God’s sake!
