The quiz told me “You Should Go on a Ghost Tour”
Funny! We did that in New Orleans! It was fun.
But they told us the SAME ghost stories we have heard here in Texas and in Pasadena California! LOL

Well here on the Texas Gulf Coast Fall, Winter, & Spring are wonderful and super mild~! That is why we love these three seasons. Summer can be very very hot and humid. From now till about June or July it will be wonderful outdoors weather here.

“Who is John Galt?” by Billthedrill and Publius now available at Amazon.
One review mentions that Atlas Shrugged is a long difficult read. Well, it is long, and there are so many characters, all central to the story. So I got Cliff Notes to help me keep them all straight.
WE THE LIVING by Ayn Rand is a great book. It tells all about what happens when your country is taken over by Communists. It is not pretty. I also bought the DVD of the book. The book is better. If you read We The Living you will fall in love with Kira, the leading lady.

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
AWESOME
Military, our Allies, and their families.<
Thank you, Luvy, for preparing
the Canteen for todays activities.
Dropping in to play the quiz
but have to skedaddle after that.
I'm in "fiscal year purgatory" right now.
At the end of one, and the beginning of another,
with no money!
You Should Visit a Corn Maze |
You approach fall with a spirit of adventure... even if that means you may end up getting a little lost. You like to explore and see what's out there. Every fall is different and unique in its own way.
In general, you tend to be a bucket list type of person. You're all about checking off those unique experiences. You are open to whatever comes your way. And if you find out something is not for you, at least you tried it out! |
Well, the only way I'd go into a corn maze
would be if the corn was fresh,
and I'd prefer when the corn is still tiny
and moist and edible.
It still has a nice earthy scent, too.
Other than that, it will make you itch.
Going into lurker mode. Please stay right where you are.
Keep the troops and their families entertained.
The Canteen is
Come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM ~ DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

They remind me of a Stephen King Movie. There aren't many movies made of his books that I liked.
The Stand was probably the best as it followed close to the book. I did like IT but not the adult actors (very dull and boring).
Can't say that I saw or read Children of the Corn, but his stories are really about relationships, so I prefer to read.

If you're going to read The Stand, get the complete and uncut paperback edition. It has all kinds of things that the publisher took out for the sake of a shorter book. It's much better than the original cut version. But if you read it, make sure all the lights are on.Hey, it's not as scary as IT.
