That is a shame. I liked the other twwo.
Perhaps because the third section of the book gets more into the implausible sci-fi aspects of the story, the cloaking shield and disintegration ray, et al, that part three was poor? or was it the acting, or what?
hehehe
Highly recommended! ;-}
A great accompliant & great work went in to it.
Hope Bill is mended and you have sold many copies!?
I do need to get that book. Is there a Kindle version? :)
Bad script, bad acting, bad direction and bad production values. It was the Readers Digest Condensed Books version of the third part of the book.
We have some amazing intellects and artists here on FR! :-)
Yes, it is now available in Kindle.
Bill is just fine these days. We’re getting (very) modest quarterly royalty checks, but we could always use more.
Darn! I was so looking forward to it.
Oh well. maybe we can have it featured on Kenneth Pinth-Garnelle’s “Bad Cinema”
I mean LEONARD, not Kenneth.
Thanks! I need to go shopping! :)
Hard day at work on campus and I headed to class afterward through a very unpredicted windstorm. Got out to a wild scene - rain pelting, trees blowing, clouds towering and sunset in a space of clear sky. Started to run to the car and stopped and let it rain, because there in front of me was an enormous double rainbow. Sometimes you gotta get wet to see that.
That's what my life has been like lately. All things considered, pretty damn good. Best to ya! :-)
Thanks for the ping!
Sorry I re-pinged. I don’t know how I missed your post. LOL~
New England by car
Indeed! Perfect and it IS on my list!
Read: 1 Corinthians 11:23-34
When I was growing up, one of the rules in our house was that we werent allowed to go to bed angry (Eph. 4:26). All our fights and disagreements had to be resolved. The companion to that rule was this bedtime ritual: Mom and Dad would say to my brother and me, Good night. I love you. And we would respond, Good night. I love you too.
The value of this family ritual has recently been impressed on me. As my mother lay in a hospice bed dying of lung cancer, she became less and less responsive. But each night when I left her bedside I would say, I love you, Mom. And though she could say little else, she would respond, I love you too. Growing up I had no idea what a gift this ritual would be to me so many years later.
Time and repetition can rob our rituals of meaning. But some are important reminders of vital spiritual truths. First-century believers misused the practice of the Lords Supper, but the apostle Paul didnt tell them to stop celebrating it. Instead he told them, As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lords death till He comes (1 Cor. 11:26).
Rather than give up the ritual, perhaps we need to restore the meaning.
Good evening, Rus! (((hugs)))
Good to see you...and thanks for our beautiful lesson from God’s Word!
You Should Go On a Fall Hunt |
You love getting out into the world, especially when there's some crispness in the air. A fall hunt is the perfect chance to burn off some of that fall fueled energy - while checking out all the beauty. You are generally an upbeat and proactive person. If your life isn't going well, you do your best to change it. You like to get out there and leave your mark on the world. Or at least see as much of it as you can. |
I think you have your next hunting trip already planned! :)
I wish! Although with that crowd, I’d just have to sit back and watch. There’s no way to pick out the right animal to harvest in a herd of that size.
Besides, sitting back to watch is where enjoying nature comes in to play.
You want a thrill? The Fly Boy had one - we walked up on a herd and he came within about 20 yds. of an old bull. The bull was hidden, backed into a Manzanita bush. He bugled just as we walked past...Wow!!!
