President Barack Obama on Saturday said the widespread mistrust of law enforcement that was exposed by the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man in Ferguson, Missouri, is corroding America, not just its black communities, and that the wariness flows from significant racial disparities in the administration of justice.
Speaking at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual awards dinner, Obama said these suspicions only harm communities that need law enforcement the most....

Of course, not being in proper families does not “scar the hearts of our children” per Obama; no mention of that.
I could see where being in law enforcement might corrode a trusting nature.
If you get down to it...reflexively siding for or against anyone should be long gone.
Case in point...Ferguson. The population there immediately decided that the policeman was in the wrong.
I place blame on the media and the current administration for a lot of the distrust of LE. It’s not a job I would want.
I must be pretty blessed living in the small community I live in. The police force here are good guys. If I dial 911 I can’t wait to see them show up...sirens blaring, lights flashing. And some of them have an attitude. So what...I work with people in my job that also have a ‘tude. :)
I have one better - I heard of a guy who called police because he got ripped off in an illegal drug deal...
What about mistrust of the DOJ? What about mistrust of the White House? What about mistrust of the IRS?
