“Get a Keltec P3AT.”
They weigh next to nothing. Shoots the .380 ACP, and the magazine holds six.
It’s strictly an up-close and personal weapon, as it is not really intended for shots beyond about 12 feet (though, of course, at a range, under no stress, it is somewhat accurate beyond that range).
I would strongly recommend NOT using hollow point bullets in the P3AT, as there just isn’t enough power generated in the pistol for proper expansion, and if there is any expansion, penetration is pretty anemic. I would recommend shooting Winchester 95 grain FMJ in the pistol. Those bullets are not roundnose, but are truncated, and blunt at the end. They will give better penetration than a JHP.
Thanks for the tip on the ammo, makes sense.
The Hornady Critical Defense and Cor-Bon Pow’R Ball loads are both reported to be good choices for the .380. The penetration and expansion seem to be pretty well balanced.
