PBS had a chilling Frontline special a couple weeks ago that featured video smuggled out of Nigeria, of Boko Haram executing a group of male captives, about twenty in number. They were all sitting there waiting to be killed, guarded by men standing nearby with rifles. One man was being readied for execution, lying on the ground being restrained. The Boko Haram officer said to the man holding the knife, "Slaughter him, sir. Slaughter him." He said it in a strangely soft and calm tone of voice. The camera mercifully cut away at the moment of decapitation. I couldn't sleep very well that night.

Well, that’s what got everyone’s buns in a wad...And, rightfully so...But not a lot came from it domestically, other than the government cracked down on us, instead of exterminating the havens overseas where the schmups hung out...Sure, our military (under civilian control) took the fight to the bad guys, and kept it over there as much as possible...Some of it leaked out, but nothing is perfect...

Like with all the other huff and puff, it seems to be limited to a PR campaign (here domestically), official, and mostly unofficial claims, as is the original posting...

When we see beheadings and other acts of violence within the borders, on a regular basis, it’ll probably take a few incidents a day, all around the country, in short order, that’s when that Genie will be out of the bottle...

I’m not so sure you’ll be able to contain the enthusiasm of the American public to not react proportionally...I’m one that will find it hard to not be surprised when the other shoe drops...
