BREAKING: Britain goes to war as MPs vote for action against Islamic State [Yes: 524 No 43]

BRITAIN WILL go to war again after politicians today voted overwhelmingly to join airstrikes against the so-called Islamic State terrorist group.

RAF jets could now fly bombing missions over Iraq within hours after all three major parties backed action against the brutal regime, which David Cameron called a "clear" threat to Britain.

The vote comes amid warnings that the action to defeat the Islamic terrorists could take years.

Initially British airstrikes will only take place over Iraq, despite the IS group controlling areas of Syria in its bid to establish an Islamic caliphate across the Middle East.

The vote comes after the Iraqi government requested support in dealing with the militant group.

Action could also extend to Syria, as well as Iraq after Prime Minister David Cameron said today that there is a "strong case" for it.

Tony Blair came out last week strongly stating that Britain should be fighting ISIS! Wish President Bush would follow suit and start speaking out about stuff. He’s gotta be feeling quite sick over all the ground we lost due to Obama’s pull them out scorched Military policies!

I’m sure Baghdadi is shaking.

Its folly. If The Iraqi soldiers cannot fight the onslaught, then no amount of air power is going to change a thing.

Could This Be The Reason Why Obama Removed The Bust of Churchill In The White House?

WINSTON CHURCHILL’S COMMENTS ON ISLAM

[Sir Winston Churchill has been recognized as one of the greatest men of the late nineteenth and of the twentieth century. He was an extraordinary war leader to whom the Western World must be forever in debt. He was a prophet in his own time as this quotation, written well over 100 years ago, demonstrates.]

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step, and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it (Islam) has vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.”

[ Postnotes: (1) Sir Winston, as an officer of the British Army, served in the Sudan and in the Crimean War; in both instances against the Muslims. These experiences gave him ample opportunity to observe the structure of Islamic society. (2) Churchill’s quotes were taken from the volume: Sir Winston Churchill; “The River War”, first edition, Volume II, pages 248-250, published by Longmans, Green & Company, 1899. (3) If Sir Winston were alive today, it is doubtful that a person in Great Britain criticizing Islam publicly could be arrested, and then fined or jailed, and even more doubtful that any Muslims would be sitting in the English Parliament! ]

You can bet your bippy on that. Obama sees Churchill as both anti-socialist and anti-muslim. Oh, also he was a "colonialist" you know, so it's a threefer.

I wish to God the media would have vetted this socialist/communist/community organizer/racist/narcissist/atheist?muslim?/low information/anti-capitalist/anti-military/anti-American never really lived in America until he was 18 affirmative action agitator.

My sister called me the day after the 08' election and said, "They outnumber us now." Remember this on November 4th and get everyone you know out to the polls. No sitting out this one.

Obozo’s hatred/contempt for Churchill at first seemed to be his socialist bent.

Now we know it is due to his Sunni upbringing and training.

Thanks for the feedback and confirmation.

Oooo great for Tony Blair.

He and his administration were responsible for the biggest influx of Muslims into Britain ever ... and a great number of them ‘radical’ Muslims.

So now he wants to go play GI Joe in Syraq

With UKIP surging Cameron has to posture as conservative and tough on behalf of his phony Conservative Party. IS is a threat, not an opportunity to make political points....
