Sources: Milton Wolf weighs Greg Orman endorsement

Milton Wolf, the tea party candidate who battled Sen. Pat Roberts in a bitter Republican primary fight, is considering some political payback: Endorsing Kansas independent Greg Orman, sources said Thursday night.

But there’s a big catch: To win Wolf’s endorsement, Orman must first agree to caucus with the Senate GOP if he were to defeat Roberts in the general election.

The two men were scheduled to meet Friday afternoon at Orman’s house in Olathe, Kansas., just outside of Kansas City, according to two people familiar with the matter. One person said Orman’s team sought the meeting but there was no ask for an endorsement. Another source said the meeting may be canceled now that the media have caught wind of it.

“Milton is going to make an ask that [Orman] consider making a public commitment to caucus with the Republican Party, regardless of the outcome of the November elections,” one person familiar with the matter said.

Another person said: “I think if Orman agrees to Wolf’s terms, it means the end of Roberts.”

Perhaps Dr. Wolf can manage to buy the Brooklyn Bridge from Mr. Orman as well.

Heh. Wolf saying he will only endorse Orman if Orman "promises" to caucus with the GOP reminds me of when Bart Stupak said he'd only vote for Obamacare if Obama "promised" him it wouldn't fund abortions.

No doubt Orman will agree to this "comprise" so when he meets with Wolf, then "evolve" on the issue and "change his mind" after the election if the Dems win a majority and ask him to join their caucus in exchange for a cushy committee chairmanship.

That Wolf sure looks like a Democrat in Republican clothing.

I think he's a naive non-politician in this instance. I just don't see how one can believe any promise to side with the GOP from Orman.

BTW - "non-politician" is usually a plus, except when it comes to understanding other politicians, IMO.

I guess we can be thankful Wolf lost. Still not voting for Roberts.

Wise words, Bubba_Leroy.

It’s a trick. Dims/Libs will say anything to get the vote.

If Wolf is really serious about the seat casting Conservative votes, he’d throw his support to Roberts this instant, having proven Orman is not going to vote anywhere NEAR as conservatively as Roberts does.

Wolf is buying Kansas voters a huge Vowel, and they need understand what he just did.

Anybody see what the DUmp is saying about this?

“If Wolf can get him to commit to caucusing with the GOP, the seat is effectively a Republican one regardless of the outcome.”

Dreamer! Orman is a RAT. HIs “word” would not mean anything once elected.

Yes, I would be completely comfortable with the deal. If Orman were to also agree to wear one of those explosive collars that could be remotely triggered if he were to switch caususes.

We really don’t need to make that kind of stand in NC or Kansas for example.

With the Senate up in the air (due to the national GOP's weak messaging, now that I think of it!), I'll have to agree.

“There are stands to make, but this is not one of them.”

I agree...while sitting in Arizona. Roberts isn’t ideal, but I’d rather see him in office than McCain or McFlake - my home state senators!

Agree.

No, I have no idea what DU’ers are saying about this. I’m sure they’re getting a kick.

Wolf may not be the best example to make my point, but we need to run GOOD Tea Party candidates, not just anybody willing to fly the flag.

He might be the perfect example of that. We really don't know which is exactly why I didn't consider voting for him in the primary. Why waste a vote on a guy who MIGHT be a conservative rather than someone who has a solid conservative record? Most of my TEA Party friends were just as suspicious as I as was and none that I knew voted for Wolf.

Orman caucusing with the Republicans would be like letting an ISIS representative sit and vote in the Joint Chiefs of Staff meetings.

Count me embarrassed, I had rooted for Milton Wolf. If I lived in Kansas, I’d hold my nose and vote for the carpet bagging fossil Pat Roberts.

Its a false story. Wolf has confirmed there is no such endorsement on the cards

Rant time, sorry in advance.

In a few weeks I will step into my polling place and vote for Jim Oberweis, a dairy magnate who’s hobbies include trying to buy important office (this is like the 5th time he’s tried, no tv ads that I’ve seen yet btw so I wish he’d try harder), telling people whatever he thinks they want to hear, flip flopping, and losing (except for that time he beat Conservative Chris Lauzen in congressional primary by lying about him and that time he won a heavily GOP State Senate district).

In 2 years my Republican option will be Mark Steven Kirk. Your options lately in IN have been Dan Coats, a coward who ran from a race from Evan Bayh in 1998 (handing him the seat) only to return after Bayh retired, Odious RINO Dick Lugar, and the guy that beat Lugar, Mensa candidate Richard “My foot tastes delicious” Mourdock.

I would be proud to vote for Senator Roberts. And if I were you I’d be proud to vote for Senator Roberts. He’s a real son of a *itch for voting the right way for decades huh?

Sorry if I sound harsh my friend, no offense is intended, please forgive me. I just don’t get it. I don’t get why people are talking about him like he’s GD Arlen Specter, I don’t get why they were all too willing to replace him with an unvetted, unqualified, random jackhole like Wolf just because he’s “someone new”. I don’t get why people are still treating this clown Wolf like he’s some kind of statesman.

And I don’t get why now, with the primary over, and the Senate seat that’s been GOP held longer than any other in the country being threatened by a rat/RINO fusion candidate, why people are still whining about Roberts and continuing to tear him down and quote the same criticisms being spouted by the DSCC, focusing on secondary BS like where he GD lives most of the time (VA, shocking for a Senator!) and his age (old, shocking for a Senator!), instead of asking what they can do to help this conservative patriot defeat and Obama/Reid supporter who’s hobbies including requiring background checks for gun purchases, supporting “a woman’s right to choose”, and applauding queers getting “married”. I don’t get it.

The democrats want Orman, the KS RINOs want Orman. Freepers should want Pat Roberts to kick his lying pinko *ss from here to Christmas, and they shouldn’t have to think about it and do with their noses held, it’s a no GD brainer.
